I have an avtech 760 and a PTQ3 camera. I know the camera works and just had the 760 replaced but cannot remember how to setup. I have

no 3
Device PTZ
ID 3
Protocol P-D
Baud 2400

Is there anything else I have to setup?
thanks
David.

It looks like you have everything setup.

Is it not working?

Ans:
1. Connect: 1.PTZ control 2.Power 3.Video
BROWN TO RED RS485-A
ORANGE TO GREEN RS485-B

2. If PTZ control is still unavailable as the connection shown in Step 3, the telephone line might have
wire jumping. Please change the connection shown in Step 2 as follows: Brown to Green, and Orange to Red.

3. Setup: After connecting all devices, DVR remote setting is as follows:

REMOTE
TITLE DEVICE ID PROTOCOL RATE
01 CAMERA 000 NORMAL 02400
02 CAMERA 000 NORMAL 02400
03 CAMERA 000 NORMAL 02400
04 CAMERA 000 NORMAL 02400
05 CAMERA 000 NORMAL 02400
06 CAMERA 000 NORMAL 02400
07 CAMERA 000 NORMAL 02400
08 PTZ 000 NORMAL 02400

4. Enter ID setting: If the connection is successful, DVR will detect PTZ ID number.

SET ID
CURRENT ID 000
SET ID 000
SET OK

QUESTION: Why is there always enough time to go back and fix it right a second time??

Point 4 is only relevant if you are using an AVT camera... also the protocol should be "PELCO" as the "NORMAL" protocol is the AVT protocol.
