  1. I have cat6 running to all my analog cameras and have been using baluns. Everything has been running great for 2 years. I'm cleaning up my equip closet, can I punch down these runs?
  2. The camera is nothing special, just a cheap $150 Trendnet. That Axis 292 is exactly what I had in mind, but the price tag is a little outrageous for this application, plus I don't have an Axis cam. I guess I could get an old mobo, set it up with wireless and composite out, and use it as a standalone device for the TV. I just thought maybe one of those little wireless media players that Dlink and Netgear is making might do something like this. My main motivation for this project was to have the camera input in the TV so we could PiP it while we watch TV. Or, flip over to it occasionally and see what the little whipper snapper is up to.
  3. I have an IP camera installed in my son's room we use as a baby monitor to keep tabs on him. We view the output on computers and laptops, but is there a way to view the IP camera on the TV? Perhaps a device that connects to camera stream and hooks to the AV port on the TV?
