My current solution that provides a system with 2-way crestron control for PTZ, etc. that integrates with crestron (via controlworks module) as well as real-time video at d1 on all channels is with 2 sets of DVR's arranged as follows:
Set 1. #2 Dedicated Micros DS2 120pps 16-channel at D1
Set 2. #2 Speco TT 16-channel (IR remote control)
These feed into an Extron 32x32 switcher which allows both individual camera views at TV's as well as DVR call/matrix views.
Advanced PTZ controls (5 PTZ cameras in all--so far) are done with dedicated micros DS2's, viewing of real time done via IR and Speco TT's.
The Problem:
I recently discovered that the Speco is only real time at CIF resolution. I need a DVR that has 16 (or 32) channels of D1 at full 30fps on all channels, and has some sort of control that can be used by crestron such as an IR remote. Ideally, a DVR with 2-way crestron control from a pre-written module as well as 30fps D1 across all channels would eliminate the need for 2 sets of DVR's.
Clearly cost not a restraining factor, but I would not like to spend un-necessarily. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts on this.
It would seem that a Casino-Grade unit would fit the bill as long as it has some sort of external control capability.
Let me know with any thoughts.
Thanks,
Scott
