I was given this home security system for Christmas. Still in the box.

(sorry, can't post links as newbie)
However there is no DVR included, so it looks more like a live monitor system. I want to incorporate a recording device, so I can leave it to record any incidents while I'm away.
Money is tight so here are a few possibilites I see. I have an old stand alone 30hr Tivo or I can buy this inexpensive DVD recorder with 160 MB HD on craigslist new for $90.

I'm basically just lost on the best way to record the four cameras that will be mounted. The four cameras apparently go into the included receiver, so I'm thinking I only need one output to a recording device. I like the idea of including a DVD burner with a hard drive.
Just not sure if I'm going at this correctly or not. Never have dealt with cctv before, so I likely will be here pestering for quite a while.
Any suggestions/assistance is appreciated.
Thanks, Terry
