I'm running Geo 8.0 and have Key Lock as a startup program which locks down the desktop. What is the easiest way to temporarily disable Key Lock in case I want to have full access to the Windows desktop? Thanks.

I've looked in the manual and I can't seem to find the answer. Why shouldn't keylock be run in the startup folder? If it shouldn't be in the startup folder, where is the setting to have it autorun? And I still can't figure out how to temporarily turn it off. Sorry if these are dumb questions.

I'm installing Panasonic WV-CW474A domes using 24VAC power. The manual says that the ground wire should be connected to the power supply. Is this necessary? The power cable runs that I have only have two wires. I'd have to run new cable with 3 wires in order to hook up the ground. Other 24VAC cameras that I've installed have not had a ground wire. Please advise. Thanks.

I'm looking to install some Panasonic WV-CW474A dome cameras in a suspended grid ceiling with tiles. I noticed there is a flush mount and a surface mount version of this camera. What version should I get and what's the best way to mount them? Thanks!

Is there any big advantage to running a Geo GV-1480 card with the new Pentium D dual-core processor? Would it be any better than a single processor with a similar clock speed?

I have Geovison v. 7 and I have a question about video playback. I have the program setup to record in 5 minute video increments. Let's say I wanted to view something that just happened 1 minute ago, is there a way to go into the viewlog and be able to view that event immediately? Or do I have to wait another 4 minutes until the video file is saved? I suppose I could just setup the program to record in 1 minute increments. Is there a better way?

This could be a dumb question, but can you have multiple Geo cards in the same computer? Like say I wanted to go from a 16 camera system to a 32 camera system by adding another Geo card to the same computer. Is that possible?

Hi. Can anyone suggest a good camera to use in a bowling center? Cameras will be positioned at the bar and front desk to cover employees, and general customer areas. Lighting levels will vary greatly. Color would be preferred. Also, I'm trying to spend less then $300 per camera including lens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Could someone explain the pros/cons of dome cameras versus traditional cameras? From reading past posts, it looks like everything else being equal you can always expect a better picutre from a regular camera versus a dome. Is this the case? Are there other advantages of dome cameras besides cosmetics and concealing camera pointing position? In my case with this bowling center, cosmetics are not all that important - I could go either way with domes or regular cameras. Also, in this case the light levels will vary greatly because of cosmic bowling when the lights are turned off and blacklights come on. Is this lighting consideration a factor in using or not using domes? Any help is apprecitated. Thanks.
