  1. How much disk space is left on drive C?

Make sure only the cameras that are working are enabled

Goto the System LOG and look at when it shut down, it should say how the Geo system logged off

This is only the Geo Software turning off, and not the whole PC right?

All else fails, install Ultra VNC and PM me the login details, Ill check it out for you.

In my opinion it is problem with Motherboard, once Dell´s motherboard isn´t compatible with Geovision´s card.

Try to install the board in anoher PC with Chipset Intel

    Regards,

  2. Well I got a new motherboard put dvr card in works but now its says video lost in the box to view cameras .Help please

About the Chipset VIA that you were using... It´s incompatible with any Geovision Board. About video lost, the problem can be software´s version.

Witch are your hardware´s version ?

  3. Hi!

There is a small program called Geodatabasefix or something, you can make a search for *.exe in the GV folder and you will understand which one.

I recently did a clean install of XP pro and geo ver 8.2. I originally had the db files in a directory outside of the geo folder and all my video data on seperate drives. When I finsihed my install I pointed the db to the new folder and added the drives to the storage group folder. When I search the log files the dates show up but all have a question mark in the check box and will not play. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

    Thanks

    Hi...

Try the RepairMDB utility that is inside c:/GV800 for exemple

insert the path and run the program

    Regards !

  4. I am having an issue trying to get Viewlog that supports the resolution 1440x900. everytime I download it and try and launch it, I get an error message that says "Screen resolution must be at least 800x600". The laptops resolution is set to 1440x900. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue ??

As a side not, Multiview 1440x900 works fine.

    Dear Friend...

This might be happening due to a version Bug... I had a similar problem recently. Try to install version 8.122 or wait for the V3.0

    Regards,

  5. i have gv600 6 camera and i was replacing with gv600v3 8port, do i need to install different software or will it work with same software.

You have to check the hardware version of the boards... If them had the same number (eg: V3.30, V3.51) you can run the same software, just replace the board and try to use the same slot pci

    Regards

  6. I have been lurking about this forum for a while, and decided I needed help with my system. I have a gv-800/8, can this be converted to display 16 cameras, or do I need to purchase an entire new card? If it can be converted, does anyone know how to go about doing that? Any info greatly appreciated.

    Jim

    Dear Jim,

In this case you can contact your seller to change your board for a 16 Channel one.

You dont have the possibility to put another in the same PC.

    Regards

  7. I have GV1480 set to record on motion. Have a PTZ camera that changes direction (view) every 30 seconds. Every move is recorded. Is there a way to not record during a pan movement? Was looking at the record delay, but isn't there something with ptz? Thanks

I Think there is nothing to do in this case my friend..
