    v8.1 database problem

Please I have a problem and if anyone could help I would appreciate It seems that my Multicam softvare (which is now 8.1, and same problem I had with 8.2) does not recognize .mdb databases it creates. It is unable to load them on startup and unable to open them (via Log viewer application in my GV folder). It says something like "wrong database format". I tried to repair database by means of database repair utilitys, but still the same happens Please, if anyone could help, send it thru my email: e.alijagic (at) bih dot net dot ba Below is the letter I wrote to the GeoVision support, but due to their chinese new year, they are closed until 2.2. stating "Happy Chinese New Year" ----------------------------------------------------------- Dear Sir, I have a problem with your Geovision Multicam software V8.1. I recently bought your GV 600 BNC 4 channel card. Supporting computer has the following: MB Biostar G31-TE7, Intel G31 chipset Intel Pentium Dual Core 2,5 GHz DDR2 DIMM 800 1Gbyte nVidia GeForce 7300 256MB graphic adapter WD Caviar Green Power 320 GB 16 MB cache 7200rpm SATAII Windows XP SP2 (and no other software except the video surveillance V8.1 and adobe reader) Everything on this computer is bought new and specially for surveillance of our private house. After I set up computer and installed Window XP and drivers for the MB/video/audio/usb, I have installed the drivers for GV 600 card. I checked out in the Device Manager, and the card has got its drivers, it was working properly and without any conflicts. Then I installed Geovision Main System (card = GV 600, format = PAL and display resolution= 1024x768). After I restarted computer, it asked me to enter username and password as this was the first time to start Multicam software, and I put my father's name and password consisting of 6letters+3numbers, and everything was fine and working properly. Next time I started computer, Multicam started automatically and while in initialization, it popped up an error message saying something like „unable to load POS database“ and „unable to load system log database“ and some additional error messages saying it will create a backup databases called something like „Corrupt_something_20090127“. After I clicked OK several times, the program JUST TERMINATED and there was a system message „to send error report“ to the Microsoft. Then the Multicam software automatically started again, after the termination, and again there were these „database error“ messages, but this time program does not terminate. This time it asks „PLEASE LOG IN“. After the login process everything was fine, i see cams and settings stuff works fine, until the logout, when it also stated „database error“ for two times. As I assumed, databases are in .mdb format. I don't have Microsoft access installed on this computer. I navigated to the folder (folder called Database) containing these „Corrupt..... .mdb“, “sys_20090127.mdb“ and „pos_20090127“ and tried to open it from the folder with a double click (after I exited Multicam). Since I don't have a Microsoft Access the operating system has associated .mdb files to the „Log Viewer“ application in GV600 package. I double clicked on one of the .mdb files and the Log viewer opened. It required to enter username and password, it checked it (saying „checking permissions for username to access this database...“) and another error messeage appared saying something like „wrong database format“. I also tried to repair databases with your Repair 500 tool. The reparation goes well and fine, it states that it repaired all, but when I start Multicam the same happens again. As I assume, Multicam software does not recognize the database files it creates. Thank you for your help,
