I personally would like to see a room for only people who own or work for a company that is a CCTV. (And also those that integrate with alarms & access). But no manufacturers reps or distributors. But only Service/Installation based companys employees. That way honest discussion and experiences can be shared without anyone trying to defend the product that they sell to dealers and distributors. I personally love and the opinions matter the most to me of those who are installers also. Those who have a direct interest in what information and experience about their product will always post good things about what they sell. Installers talking to installers will give an honest critical opinion if they know that their manufacturer is not going to be able to read what they share and in turn possible hurt their relationship. (that is my opinion. I could be wrong). But I think we should think about the possibility. Any thoughts? Am I way off? That is why I like the dealer forum alot more than others because you dont have as much of an "audience". You have to really watch what you say. I try to be as honest and critical of things I sell and install. But I wont explain in 100% complete detail because of the fact that manufacturers and end users have full access to what is said. This is all from my perspective of a Installation/Service company. I can not comment on others seeing as how I am not any other type.

ICrealtime DVR Online. This is the dvr of all dvr's

ok will do. Ya that chair is my home office chair and you are catching the very back of it as I constantly go back and forth when I am at my desk. If I was able to move the camera to the left you would see me sitting in that chair and then my flat screen monitor on the wall with the cameras pulled up on it. I wish that I could show you how it looks because that HD Plasma with that dvr hooked up by the vga output looks like progressive scan dvd. Another way to describe it is kind of like you are sitting in a 2-3 story tower looking out a REALLY squeaky clean 50" window and watching everything around you. This is a dvr that does not actually look worse on a plasma. Most dvr's look poor on plasma's. Excellent clean image both live and playback. Definitly the most this plasma has seen from the surveillance/cctv inputs. -
definitly we should meet up. I think it will be a good time. By the way anyone using that ISC connections for meetings and visits and such?
-
yep, even if you have no plans for recording then just get an extremely basic dvr

I think he is stalling, rory has always been quick to knock anything from china and then follow it with a wink

A little explenation of the the cameras up: What I have done is put 3 camera shots up. The first camera is a Panasonic WV-CW484 Super Dynamic III Camera. The 2nd camera is a panasonic WV-CW24S Vandal Proof Super Dynamic II Dome Camera. And the 3rd camera is a Mace CAM 68CIR Vandal Proof IR Color Dome Camera. The reason I only put 3 up is because I want you to take a look at the difference in how the Pano with its dual CCD and the DNR is producing a clean image that is able to facilitate at low bandwith. Extremely low. And the quality setting is actually set higher than the mace. Which at the same quality setting as the pano would be pushing around 450k. So I had to lower the setting just to get it low enough to not max out my upload speed. The Pano 484 is feeding off of the mace's cam 68. Both looking in the same direction. And check out the difference not only in quality. But also the bandwith difference each camera requires to be transmitted over the internet. Also the mace cam 68's will record all night on motion activated recording. (wont ever stop recording). Which is because of the amount of noise, obviously. But the panasonic 484 records only when someone walks in front of it or something moves. It very very very rarely will cause the motion activation recording in the dvr. What a difference in cameras. Good Day. -
I thought rory was anti chinese? Or maybe its because he believes in freedom. And since he is a freedom warrior he discourages the commi's. Na I think its because he has not seen what can come from china that is of quality. Well rory, your time has come. We are all waiting for your review

well I am definitly going to be writing this whole thing off as business expenses but the card is my business credit card. Like I said I am going to make it worth my while so I expect to atleast spend 2,500 and up for my trip. Which is not bad. Shoot I will just be happy I am not having to constantly be doing proposals. I am not sure if I can remember what it is like to not be constantly doing proposals every day. I sick of it.

Ptz controlled by playstation remote control
jisaac replied to jisaac's topic in General Digital Discussion
ya on the first video that kid was moving. His feet were a blur. Did you see that screen? It said perfect every time. Man I still like the Call of duty 2 and the shoot em up blow em up games. Especially with my surround sound. Dont care much for dancing. But seriously that feature of being able to control a ptz with a/any controller over the network/internet is pretty cool. I would love to be able to use a regular ptz controller to control a ptz that is remote. That is something that others need to pick up. -
ya that explosion in intelligent software looks good. Right now I am working with cernium and broadware on several large accounts of ours. The intelligent software is something that is going to be of high demand. I am going to go on the 5th. I am coming in on the 3rd and leaving on the 7th. I dont gamble much, I throw away money already to much. Plus have not seen any businesses that are in the business to give away money. I am sure I can find something to blow a few thousand on in vegas. Like some good food.

toggle bolts for the light ones. And toggle bolts and guy wire suspended works good for the medium ones. for the heavy ones get a suspended metal frame mount from manufacturer. They dont put any weight on the tiles.

when I was in the 8th grade I was diagnosed a chronic insomniac. And for years tried to get on a schedule of 8 hours of sleep a night. For 2 years I tried every single thing under the sun. And finally realized that if I sleep only 2 1/2 to 3 hours max then I function my best during the day. Anymore than that and I am extremely tired. Exactly backwards of what I was told. Has worked for me ever since. Some people are just back asswards.
