thats why you should have a technical person do your site survey and put the design of the system together and then hand it over to a sales person to close the deal. -
most ground loops happean because of some way the camera or the cable has been grounded twice. once at at the dvr end and the other is the million dollar question.

hey ryan!!?!?!? i dont think any of those girls are your wife! Man you must have a good time in vegas!

Here is a video from easter morning of a robbery. The first camera is a pan 484 and the second camera was a never focus existing camera from their previous system. And yes they did lock the gunman inside with them and yes the 82 year old lady does go chase him. http://arksurveillance.com/hostvids/eastermask.wmv oh ya and this was the copy that i gave to the news so thats why i put our name and number on the video.

that was fine. i would rather know that i lost some money . hey is your wife still mad about when you got wasted? Ya for those of you who dont know he got real high, drunk, and took some other stuff we could not figure out what it was ( talking about the stuff we found under his nose). So we lost him earlier in the night only to find him the next day at the blue moon gay resort and spa in the hot tub. also in the pool and then experimenting with a guy who ryan said was just going to "show him something" tell your wife i am sorry that had to be hard to swallow. ooops wrong choice of words. I mean hard to grasp....OOPS!..... I mean.....um.........tell her she did not deserve any of that. BLAME IT ON THE DRUGS!

dude tell the whole story! you left out the crazy horse part
-
ya i would have never done that. I would tell him to take my money because its not worth my life. But then again I am not 82.

if you have your camera mounted reasonable high and not looking at the horizon then you should be ok. a puddle wont hurt it either. just don have it staring at the sun directly for any extended period of time.

well first off ask him if he cares if you trench. If not then just rent a ditch witch and you could have the trench dug in no time. 2nd: does he own the light pole or is it a street light? if he owns the light pole then just hire an electrician to put an outlet on your pole from the lights power source. But the wireless solution will be more expensive than the trench. But if you want to go wireless verint has a excellent product that is an encoder and decoder nextiva is the name.

how many of you guys have had cameras that are mounted to buildings get hit by lightning? We have never had one hit by lighting. Now I am sure that it is possible. But the likely hood of any one camera getting hit by lighting is pretty small. The reason I was saying use the nylon screws and washers is to isolate the camera housing from the building in the event that the camera does somehow get in contact with the housing then you wont have a ground loop. lighting was the furthest thing from my reason in using the nylon screws and washers
-
oh ya I left out one more part in the steps with nylon screws and nuts. be sure to get like three or four nylon washers for each screw and put them behind the mounting bracket in between the aluminum and the bracket. this will give it complete isolation from the building to the camera housing. (no ground)
-
I have had the same issue before. Go to your local hardware store and get some nylon screws with the nylon wing nut. tighten it until they the really tight. You will be able to stop the shaking in the wind significantly.

Panasonic requires certification to resell I-pro line.
jisaac posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
In about 3 weeks panasonic is going to require that any dealer/installer that sells or installs there I-pro line of IP hardware will have to complete a 3 level certification that will be pretty thorough and detailed. what do you guys think? good idea? -

you know what I like about panasonic? is that tbey are straight forward about their products. Like take for example: they are the only manufacturer that will specifically tell you if their camera is a ir cut filter mechanically being removed or if it is a chrominance signal being removed. http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelDetail?displayTab=O&storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&itemId=102546&catGroupId=14459&surfModel=WV-CF294T everyone else will say day/night and thats it. -
Hey did you guys see Extremes new reg camera at ISC west? Should make it some what more affordable than the regular Reg line.
-
wdr cameras are better than standard camers but still can not even get close to extremes reg

I have experience with the 964 the previous camera model. They just released the 974. I have got one of the 974's on the way. Although i did see the 974 at isc west. The auto tracking works well. Especially the 974. it will track zoom in and maintain tracking on that object. Even if it goes behind something. Where as before the auto tracking would stop.
