I have been installing 4CH AVTech Mpeg4 across a 85 store chain for the last couple of years. I purchased the DVR a few at a time and over time have ended with several versions of the AV760 unit.
Now I seem to be having more and more problems with the units and their viewing software.
Sometimes I attempt to backup video and the camera channels don't populate. On the newer version of the video viewer I don't even get the Backup feature with some units.
What would be the best version to insure the maximum compatiablity with the fewest bugs?
I run a windows based PC.
Thanks
Regarding the port 25 blocking. I have been working with a AVC760 and have been success at having triggers send emails via my personnel verzion email account, but my corporate account and gmail do not work. The IT guy at my corporate office indicates that our corporate ISP uses port 26 instead of 25.
Is there a way to get the DVR to try a different port?
Or has anyone else successfully setup a gmail account to send emails from an AVTech 760?
And finally does anyone know if it would be possible to have the router (the dvr goes through a D-Link consumer grade router) to redirect the dvrs port 25 to port 26?
Thanks
I have a AVTech AVC760 DVR which I am accessing with the Video Viewer 0.1.0.5 Software rather than the Server E which came with past units. When attempting to do a backup of a video segment the through the VV software the channels field pull down is not populating so the software will not allow me to do the backup.
In my research I came across another version of the VV software which was marked version 0.0.9.9. I would assume this would be an older version that the 0.1.0.5 which came with the last DVR I purchased.
Is anyone familiar with the current version of the Video View for the AV Tech AVC760? It just feels funny having to use what appears to be an older verison found on the internet instead of the supplied software for such and important feature.
