  2. nope i am connected via wireless o nthe same modem at work, one of these attached station is the dvr through lan cable yes i have two hosts one for homa and one for work. but surely the dvrs at hoem and work are attached to one modem where i am accessing the dvr throguh a web rowser through wan on the home which i can connect to but the one at home i cannot
  3. thanks scorpion, I have just come to work and tried the host and port number and it works fine. this is from outside of the network, but why cannot see it using this host on home web (wan) browser? I can obiously see it locally on the LAN. you see my work DVR i can see both in LAN and WAN
  4. hi guys pulling my har out now!! i boguht two dvrs both avtechs one i haev got working through the network working fine with a netgear router. the second one i am having great difficuties with the belkin is connected to a Avtech 8 channel i have connected lan cable set it to dhcp on port 80 gone into router --> the dvr is in client list--> i can see the dvr locally now when i type the i.p in browser. got my self an account with dyndns then i have tried forwading by naming a service in virtual servers put the port 80 in and the correct i.p address got the information from port forwarding.. typed in the dyndns host name followed by :80 and doesn't come up when i put jus the host naem it does go to my router. i have tried numerous ports numbers , also tried putting in the dmz settings but still stuck... can anyone help please i
