DVR wil not load after an upgrade

If you messed up with the firmware and installed a wrong one, you can restore the correct one using TFTP.
  2. Four ports, by default they are 80/1024/37777/37778.

hikvision tvi dvr vga & hmdi

Yes, it does support it, both work at the same time, but both will show the same. You can not show different channels on each VGA/HDMI output.

    webplugin.exe for dahua

You do need a plugin for windows if you use a web browser... You do NOT need it if you use PSS or Smart PSS.

Where did you get it from?

Remote access to my Dahua DVR in mac

Again, you know what manuals are for? You need to add your device on Settings -> Devices. http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=smartpss+add+device

Remote access to my Dahua DVR in mac

The program comes with a manual for a reason. The default login is admin/admin.

Remote access to my Dahua DVR in mac

You have to use Smart PSS. It works from both local and remote.

    HikVision remote app access fail

Device domain should be just "mydvr".
  10. Just to make sure, disable NAT and UPnP on all the Hikvisions. Check that all your 6 cameras use different ports, and forward the needed ports correctly to each camera on your router.

Hikvision DVR, iVMS-4200 and BEST GRAPHIC CARD

That sucks, I did think that a single computer supported more than 64 streams. Maybe it was so with previous versions of iVMS-4200 and they removed it at some point? I only have two monitors on my own computer, and I just noticed that when I run a single "Main view" I can put 64 streams on it, but when I open another one it only allows me to have 32ch on each one. With 4 "main view" Windows it only lets you show 16 streams, indeed. Good to have that info at hand, thanks!

    8CH balun

You can, that's what these baluns are for. No, you do not need to use the RJ 45 ports; you can use either the green connectors to use individual pairs, or you can use the RJ45 connector to send/receive 4 video signals over one single UTP cable.

    help: DVR - KD-D0414CL

That looks like a Dahua unit. If it is so, for Mac you will have to use either PSS or Smart PSS, it will not work with a web browser. And for iPhone you will have to use iDMSS.

Hikvision DVR, iVMS-4200 and BEST GRAPHIC CARD

The 64ch limitation is per monitor. If I remember correctly, iVMS-4200 supports up to 4 or maybe even 5 monitors, and you can show 64ch per monitor. And yes, to do that you will need a good MONSTER GPU as you say, maybe even two of them.

    Hikvision cctv camera

If it has wifi, I wonder where you have read that it should not be used wireless.

Go to configuration -> live view and set up the live view how you want it (grid size, what channels you want to be displayed, etc).

    VGA or HDMI to BNC

  18. Can it work? Yes. Will it work? Probably not, with so many things can go wrong. The main problem will be the connection. You will need a great 4G connection, stable, with good bandwidth, and lots of data (unlimited). It won't be cheap. You will be streaming the camera to the NVR 24/7. You will need a 4G connection and a 4G router that allows you to open ports, so the camera can be accessed by the NVR. And you might even need a 4G connection with fixed IP (I say might, because I do not know if you can add an IP camera on the NVR with a domain; it will surely not work with hik-online with current firmwares, but it might work with other DDNS services like dyn.com). If I was requested this by a customer, I would tell him that no, it can not be done. I would not even waste my time trying it. But if you already have everything you need (4G SiM card, a router, the camera, the NVR) you might give it a try.
  19. That is not correct, you can always access the DVR/NVR directly using web browser, even with the latest firmwares. You can also register on EZVIZ individual cameras, if you know what you are doing (and if they do have internet connection; you can not register cameras that are connected directly to a NVR with POE ports, since they do not have direct access to internet).

    Firmware for DS-7208HQHI

3.3.2 is the latest. The build number indicates when it was compiled (151123 is 23/November/2015).

    Your opinion on PTZ choice.

That model does have 4x zoom (3-12mm lens), but it is an indoor camera. I do not know where you are trying to capture license plates, but I do not see that one as a good option. If you do already have a 3Mp camera with 4mm lens, you will probably be better with the same camera, but using the correct lens (8mm, 12mm, or whatever you need) than with a PTZ.
  22. Securame

    Your opinion on PTZ choice.

I actually doubt any specs you are posting are correct. 6-8mm zoom? That Wouldn't even be a 2x zoom. 4-12mm? That would be a 3x zoom, not a 4x. It doesn't make any sense. What Hikvision models are you looking at?
  23. It has to be a Hikvision IP camera, it does not support third parties.

    Help with setup - PLEASE

Are you aware that that is a model of camera only available in China? You will probably have to use it with chinese EZVIZ, and I have read things like you need a chinese mobile number to activate the service.
  25. Yes, but there is no connection from NVR to router. The NVR is connected to the POE switch.
