HDCVI to DVR to multiple monitors??

The converter is also a splitter, it also has HDCVI output.

    I GIVE UP!

Push also has stopped working in a couple of units I use daily, maybe about a week ago. Not much you can do to get it fixed, except wait for Dahua to fix it.

    Black and white/color issues

My only guess is that 4 cameras are NTSC, and the other 4 cameras are PAL. Whatever the sticker on the camera says.

    I GIVE UP!

Is that a rebranded Dahua unit?

    Hikvision NVR, can't save clippings

    If using IE, yes.
  8. With a 180x104 screenshot there is not much detail we can see there either. That is a 3MP camera, why are you using only 1280x720? And 8Mbps bitrate...?! Doesn't make any sense, you would be better leaving everything at default if you do not know what you are messing. And that DS-2CD2032F-I might have a 4mm lens. You should change it for one with a 12mm lens.

    Hikvision NVR, can't save clippings

If using Internet Explorer, run it as admin, so it has write rights to the folder where you are trying to save.

    Black and white/color issues

Where did you get that the old system was NTSC? Your old cameras are probably PAL.
  11. I would say no, it doesn't have it.

MP camera w/bnc or rca video out

Good job! Yeah, maybe the IR filter was stuck, or the output of the camera is PAL/NTSC and you were first using another screen which was the wrong format?

    Adjusting zoom camera

You can with a tester or any monitor that has analog input; you can't with your laptop, unless you buy an analog to VGA converter (video grabber). But anyway, if I were you, I would not want to be up a ladder with my laptop... Easier way out if this is going to be a one time thing, get someone on the other end watching the monitor, and give them a phone call. Or use a pair of walki-talkies.

    Hikvision 7104NI-SL/W

The only NVR with integrated wifi I have tried so far from Hikvision was quite a nightmare and had to be returned (DS-7108NI-E1/VW), and the same can be said for Dahua's (NVR4104-W). They are not ready for consumer use, firmware/software wise, and I think that the integrated AP they are using is junk. If you want your wifi cams to have internet and be able to send emails, forget about the integrated wifi. and just use the unit as a wired NVR. Connect the cameras to your wifi, and add the cameras manually. If possible, even disable the wifi on the NVR. You will be able to get the NVR working from internet, but you won't have direct access to the cameras easily, and the cameras won't have direct internet connection (if you want to send emails on events, make the NVR send them).
  15. What HD is it? (brand and model) Did it used to work ok? And if so, for how long?

    nvr video splitter

There isn't anything. If you use a splitter, what is showing on one screen will be shown on the other. You need a NVR that has multiple outputs. Some units have both VGA and HDMI, so you can connect two monitors, and while one output is showing the live view, you can be working on the other one (configuring, playback, etc). If your NVR only has one output, or has several outputs but only shows the same in all of them, you can't do anything.
  17. That would help, yeah. Also, if your home network is on a different subnet (like 192.168.1.x) you need to change the config on your DVR.
  18. Then you are doing it wrong. Either you did not create the user, you are not keeping in mind username and password are case sensitive, or something along the way. Did you create the user on the unit with screen/mouse pluged in? Through the web interface? Through iVMS-4200? What error are you geting?
  19. Move the cameras away from the wall.
  20. What application are you using on the phone? You should be using iVMS-4500.
  21. I would bet on 1. The power on the place where the system is installed is probably not so good, and it gets under heavier load at work hours. Probably the unit was crashing only on work days, and not on the days when noone was working at the place.
  22. You haven't looked enough You can create her an account (user) that only has access to view/playback the cameras you choose, it is quite easy to find and do. Check this guide, it is in spanish and it is for the old Hikvision firmware, but at least the screenshots should give you a good idea on what you are looking for: http://www.securamente.com/hikvision-como-modificar-la-contrasena-de-admin-de-un-dispositivo-via-web-o-ivms-4200/
  23. Try changing the time on the unit by a few hours for a few days, and see if the behavior remains the same (reboots every 10min between 8 and 18h) or it changes. Like, today at 11:00 make the time 23:00, so the unit (and the recordings) are 12 hours ahead of time. If it still does the same at 8-18, I would be worried. But if it starts doing it from 20-6, I would assume that the problem is not with the DVR, but with your power/a source outside the DVR. Whatever your business is, you might have something external to the unit that makes it do so.

6 NVR and 23 IP Cameras

That is such a generic question, that without any details the question could also be a generic "if done correctly, it will not affect the network."
  25. Remove the mouse from the unit, and if needed restart the DVR. I would say the mouse wheel on the mouse button is stuck? Or something along the lines. Is like if you are using the mouse wheel all the time, so it is switch amongst displaying 16/9/4/1 cameras at a time.
