H.264 NETWORK DVR DVR-9314V Firmware update
Securame replied to tigweldpro's topic in Digital Video Recorders
With an unbranded DVR, you are probably out of luck. They probably stoped making upgrades for those boards even before the unit stoped shipping. The system is 4 years old, so I think you shoulb be able to get it working in something newer then Windows XP. -

How to set up 24/7 recording, with motion tagging?
Securame replied to brycenesbitt's topic in System Design
You can actually do it with Hikvision, but playback only works from iVMS-4200 I think. But you can surely record 24/7, and then playback the events. You can even record at a low resolution when there is no motion, and a higher resolution when there is motion (works great when you also have audio on the camera, where you might want to record even when there is nothing moving on screen). -
Video digitizer with eth to make analog video cameras IP?
Securame replied to MikeHansen's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Any Hikvision and Dahua DVR will do that; it will act as an encoder. You do not even need to put a HD on the unit if you do not need to record it there. So, if you take a 4ch Hik/Dahua DVR, you can then connect to it from a Hik/Dahua NVR, and it will act as if they were 4 Hik/Dahua IP cameras (limited to a 960x576 resolution). -
HELP - Hikvision DS-2CD3332-1 4mm V's DS-2CD2342WD-1 2.8mm
Securame replied to Corduroy's topic in Security Cameras
Whatever that white thing showing in the top left corner is (ceiling?), move the camera away from it so it is not showing on the image. And I actually see the fence across the road lit pretty much the same in both images... -
We sell one model HDCVI 1080p 5-50mm lens. You can find them if you look enough, they are just not common. But if going to HDCVI/HDTVI/AHD, you can just keep those "rare" cameras in analog, if they already do their job.

Via http? I didn't know that could be done, but try it with RTSP. -
h960 h264 dvr monitor display questions
Securame replied to lestro's topic in Digital Video Recorders
It probably would, since the boot logo is probably displayed at a lower resolution. -
It seems that your cameras have HLC activated (high light compensation). http://www.cctvcameraworld.com/blc-hlc-wdr-in-camera-image-sensors/

It would have taken less time for you to google "Aver EH1116H-4 nano" and visit the first search result, than to register on this forum to post the question. http://surveillance.aver.com/model/embedded-hybrid-DVR-EH1116H-4-Nano-series 48W power adapter, DC 12V (that is, 12V 4A)

IP Digital CCTV Camera Tester suitable for Hikvision
Securame replied to sub101uk's topic in Computers/Networking
Again, good lucking focusing a 3Mp camera like the 2CD2632/2732 with a 320x240 screen... If this is for using just one time, it might be better to have someone else on the other end in front of a computer monitor, and doing a phone call/using walkies. -
IP Digital CCTV Camera Tester suitable for Hikvision
Securame replied to sub101uk's topic in Computers/Networking
Wow, not a chance that I would test 3Mp cameras with a 320x240 screen... I use a TP-Link nano router to create a wifi, and a Nexus 10 tablet (1920x1080 resolution). -
If the unit is configured properly (IP, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS) there is no need to set it to DHCP, it can work with fixed settings.

Hikvision NVR 4-Channel Playback Issue
Securame replied to zimurgy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
What hard drive are you using? -
Maybe I did not explain myself enough. I am not suggesting you move away from HDTVI, or that you replace all cabling with UTP. I am just saying that you can have the TVI DVR working as you do now, and then use an NVR somewhere else on the network to make redundant recordings of the same cameras connected to the TVI DVR.

New Dahua 4K - 12MP camera - IPC-HF81200E
Securame replied to LittleScoobyMaster's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I was thinking the same, for a fair comparison both recordings should have been done at the same time. -
Web Service 2.0 Files Not Downloading
Securame replied to ccobb's topic in General Digital Discussion
Try running IE as an admin. Right click "Internet Explorer" on the start menu, and select "Run as administrator". -
It just means if you are using coaxial cable or UTP cable for your HDCVI cameras. It will not make analog cameras work with the unit. If the unit is the one here linked above by Boogieman, it does not work with analog cameras, only HDCVI. http://www.dahuasecurity.com/download/20150605yocoqp.pdf

What brand is the TVI DVR? If you use Hikvision, you can then use a NVR to record the streams from the TVI DVR as if they were IP cameras.

Need help adding HikVision camera to Lorex NVR
Securame replied to ride525's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
New Hikvision firmwares make you set a password of at least 8 characters, and you must use letters AND numbers. So "000000" is not a good password. You can try downgrading the camera with TFTP to a previous firmware version. Also, if your Lorex NVR does not work with 4Mp, you might need to config the camera at 3Mp. -
DVRs that can upload to cloud based backup services?
Securame replied to Distorted Vision's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Use two DVRs, one as a backup. Or have an NVR record the streams from the DVR. When using IP cameras, some of the cameras might have an SD card inside. It is really easier, cheaper, and a better solution to have duplicate recordings on site, than to have them cloud based. -
Call them what you want. HDTVI/AHD are compatible with analog video, HDCVI is not. So, as Sunnykim said, the HDCVI units that support analog video need a a PAL/NTSC decoder chip added, which increases the cost. So there are HDCVI units that only work with HDCVI, and there are HDCVI units that work with both HDCVI and analog; while all HDTVI/AHD units work with both HDTVI/AHD and analog. So this is not correct. If the op got a HDTVI/AHD DVR, he would not need to change his cameras.
-
I don't mean hybrid, all TVI units are back compatible with analog video. Any HDTVI unit will also take old analog cameras, and I am quite sure it is the same with AHD (I have never used AHD).
