  1. In short, yes. But if you get a NVR and try to make it work with a Hikvision IP camera from maybe 5 years ago, it might be hard. Or if you get a european/american NVR and try to get it to work with chinese IP cameras, it might be hard. Etc.

    HIKVISION No Sub-Stream Playback

Hoping that Dahua makes HDTVI units is like hoping that SOny makes games for the XBOX360. It's not going to happen.
  4. Do you actually know how TFTP recovery works? You do not "send" to an IP. You need to set up a TFTP server on a computer with IP 192.0.0.128. When a Hikvision devices boots up, it does so first with IP 192.0.0.64, tries to connect to a TFTP server on 192.0.0.128. If it does find one, it asks for a firmware, downloads it, updates itself, and reboots. I am sure there is plenty of info on how to recover with TFTP on this forum or by googling. You didn't say what device you have, but if it is not too old, you should be able to find your latest firmware here: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/
  5. It should work with TFTP. You might not be doing it right. I also think that you should not have been able to flash the wrong firmware, but I always flash from the web interface, never from iVMS-4200. Is this a case of flashing an international firmware on a chinese unit?
  6. The IP 192.168.11.129 belongs to a NVR? Or an iVMS-4200 client connecting to the NVR? Or..?

2 DVRS ON ONE MODEM? I can't view but 1?

Set up different ports on each DVR. If the first unit uses 80 and 34567, change the ports on the second unit (for example) to 81 and 34568.
  8. Have you actually added any cams on the NVR?

    I'm going nuts.. Please help

You should either stick to one topic, or give all the detailed information on every topic you open. What cable are you using? WHat material is it made of? What thickness? You are using AHD at what resolution? What baluns are you using? I am not saying I need that information to help you now, but I am not going to chase the details on your complete installation every time you open a new thread. Just saying.

    HCVR5104H-S2 webplugin.pkg missing

Well, from what I know these units do not support a web browser under Mac. So it is not so strange that it doesn't find a given plugin for mac, since the one for WIndows has an .EXE extension, and not .PKG. If you want to use it from Mac, I think you have to use PSS or Smart PSS, Dahua's software for Mac.
  11. Probably, try it on a computer. Keep in mind that a memory card has a limited number of read/writes cycles.

    HCVR5104H-S2 webplugin.pkg missing

By chance, is everyone with this problem trying to access the device from a Mac? Or from Safari browser maybe?
  13. At that price, it would probably even be worth it for me to send someone from Spain to do the job for you. That should give you a hint on if he is charging a bit too much... But you would need to know what cameras and NVR he is planning to use to know for sure.

Does it support or does it not?

Then post a link. But seeing what the cable cost you, it could very well be the cable.

Does it support or does it not?

A 720p camera can work fine with a low quality cable that will make 1080p look like crap. Can you take a picture of the cable you are using? Is it surely coaxial cable, or just a cable with BNC connectors? Try to find a short good quality RG59 cable and try the 1080p camera with a short run.

Does it support or does it not?

Bad 1080p Bad Crap cabling? Bad power supplies?

Does it support or does it not?

    It does, 720p at 25fps or 1080p at 12fps.

    H.264 Port Forwarding

You are probably missing some ports, how many did you open? Some units use one for web interface, another for video streaming, and another for data. If you only open the web port, you will be able to get to the web interface, but won't do much more from there.

    HIKVISION No Sub-Stream Playback

Some things I like more with Dahua, some things I like more with Hikvision. I would also like Hikvision to have the option to record both the main and substream, but they have never had that option from what I can remember. I usually record at 4096kbps, and I can playback without any lag from mobile (Nexus 5), tablet (Nexus 10), and computer. Just tested my mobile connection, and it gave me 9.58Mbps download and 1.38Mbps upload (I am on 4G right now).
  20. I am curious, but how did they manage to damage the DVR and crack the main board, but were not able to steal the DVR or steal the hard drive? Focus on recognising the DVR, manufacturer, model, etc, you need that information to know on what format it stores data on the hard drive. Pictures of the unit might help, front cover, back, bottom, main board, any stickers it may have.
  21. You can choose any individual channel/camera. When adding the device it will be like adding a camera with different channels to choose from. When I posted my previous message, I think that only worked with Dahua. It can also be done with Hikvision now.
  22. Is there anyone having problems with iVMS-4500 on Android 6? I have not updated to v6 myself, but I do have a customer with a Nexus 5 and iVMS-4500 that now can't connect to any devices.
  23. Standard power connector, just like this.

    HIKVISION No Sub-Stream Playback

Dahua does, Hikvision doesn't. With Hikvision there is only one recording, the main stream. If you are unable to watch recordings even from lan from your mobile, I guess that your mobile must be quite old/bad. I also happen to have a HQHI-SHA unit, and I can playback without any problems a 4mbps stream, from both network and 3G/4G connection (with a Nexus 5).
