  1. There are three used formats now; HDCVI, HDTVI and AHD (I won't count HDSDI). They are not compatible, so your cameras have to be the same format as your DVR.
  2. LOL... AHD cameras, really? So you are trying to use AHD cameras on a HDTVI Hikvision unit? If you bought all of it at the same time, that is one smart seller. AHD and HDTVI do not work toguether.

How to connect DVR and USB wifi Datacard

As you said, use a router (3G, 4G, whatever) so you can connect not just the DVR, but anything else you want.
  4. Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say that iVMS-4500 has been hacked. If you install/get malware on your iOS device, and the malware steals your credentials for iVMS-4500 and many other applications, those applications weren't "hacked".

    NTP settings

You can just use time.windows.com or pool.ntp.org
  7. Control Panel -> System configuration -> Image -> Auto change video stream If you check this option, iVMS-4200 will change the stream depending on how you see the video. If you see many images, it will show you sub stream; if you make one camera full screen, it will change to main stream. If you do not check this option, then on "Main view", on the left bottom panel, where the streams are displayed, you can right on a camera and choose what stream you want to see.
  8. Oh, ok, so you have a new router, are unable to do some basic network config, but it is your NVRs fault. If the NVR gives you an error, maybe you should have stated it on your original post, unless you want people to think that the router is giving that error ("With this new router nothing works...When I add a device it tells me that the IP address is incorrect"). By the way, a modem and a router are two different things. I do guess that what you have (and had) is a router. http://whatismyipaddress.com/router-modem Good luck.

    HD-TVI low resolution images

What is the model of your cameras? DG1004 is a recorder model, not a camera model. Do those cameras have two BNC connecters? Some HDTVI cameras have HDTVI 1080p output, and also analog output. If your cameras have two connectors, you might be using the wrong one. Some cameras also have two wires (or another way) for changing between analog and HDTVI 1080p.
  10. I wonder why you would call this thread "Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1/4P Driving me NUTS!!!!", when your problem has nothing to do with your Hikvision NVR...

    Camera Compatibilty

That is not a HD camera, and yes, it would work. But be careful, is it NTSC camera. Where are you from? In your country do you use NTSC or PAL?
  12. SunnyKim, You do live in a strange place where "large TVs" are limited to 1280x1024. Over here I would have a hard time finding anything with a lower resolution than 1920x1080, unless I go look on the second hand market.

    Camera Compatibilty

That is an 4ch system, not 8ch like you said before. You can use any analog camera with it.
  14. That is a DVR card with 4 BT878 chips, so it can do D1 at 6fps per channel. An old card. You might be able to get it to work with Windows XP and BTWinCap drivers. Maybe even with Windows 7. With anything newer than that, I do not know, haven't used them in years.
  15. LOL yeah, welcome to the 21st century.

Not sure where to go to update this NVR

Wow, a 4ch system with 16 alarm inputs...? Strange. That is a rebranded Dahua unit. Dahua does not provide firmwares. You would need what is the original model for Dahua, and get lucky finding an updated firmware. If you mess up when updating, you will end up with a brick. Unless you do have a very good reason for updating the unit, if all is working fine, I would advise against doing it.

    Switching from analog to HD-SDI?

You have hybrid systems like with 4 analog+4 IP, 8 analog+8 IP, 16 anaog+16 IP.

Please help !!! DVR DAHUA DVR5108H

Try both default accounts, hopefully you only changed the password on one of them: admin/admin 888888/888888 The 888888 account only works from the DVR, with a mouse and monitor connected to it, it can not be used from remote.
  19. It will (might) work. But if I were you, I would try the setup first, before puting it up. You need just one pair (2 wires) for each video feed, so you can use a UTP cable for up to 4 video feeds. Also, use good cable. You are going to install it tomorrow? Then you should have the materials already, and you should have already tried it in advance.

    Hikvision SD Card Camera

No idea. It will depend on many factors, the resolution you record at, how many FPS, the bitrate, constant or variable, how muc motion is where you install the camera, etc.
  21. What IP are you trying to connect to from WAN? Your public IP? Do you have some kind of DDNS? (like dyndns, etc) Also, forward in TCP/UDP, just in case. And try to make sure that your DVR only uses one port.

    Hikvision SD Card Camera

1 - Yes. SADP is just for the basic IP config, and then everything else can be done from a web browser. 2 - Yes. 3 - PC or app. 4 - You need to buy one, up to 64Gb. Use a class 10 memory card. 5 - It sure is!
  23. Wow wait, a 4Mp camera. If that resolution is not supported by the NVR, it won't work. Recording resolution 5MP/3MP/1080p/UXGA/720p/VGA/4CIF/DCIF/2CIF/CIF/QCIF The 7104NI-SL/W supports 1080p(2MP) 3MP and even 5MP, but not 4MP. Not a problem with bitrate, but with supported resolutions. A firmware update might solve that on the NVR sometime in the future, I don't know.

    Robox rebadged Dahua?

Use a USB mouse. Check if the mouse has any leds that turn on, showing that the mouse does get power. The menus are there, probably just on the wrong video output. If you have a monitor connected to VGA/HDMI, use a normal TV connected to video out. If you have a normal TV connected to video out, use a monitor connected to VGA/HDMI.
