  1. I did get one of this units over a month ago. But it didn't ship until after chinese new year, so I still have not received it. According to the tracking number it was posted 2/March, and left international post office 7/March. I hope it gets here soon.

    CAT5 interference

Pleased post pics of those baluns, and if possible picture of the camera's end, and the DVRs end.
  3. Here is a small article I did for our customers (in spanish) with a download link: http://www.securamente.com/hikvision-reproduccion-de-grabaciones-desde-sd-o-hdd-utilizando-local-playback/

Hik-Vision NVR integration to Milestone VMS

Sure you can! You can have both Milestone and a Hikvision NVR connect to the same cameras, and record in different manners. If the cameras are connected directly to the NVR (if it is a NVR with integrated POE switch) you will need to jump through some hoops in order to connect directly to the cameras, but it can be done.

Hik-Vision NVR integration to Milestone VMS

It should be, Milestone should be able to access the NVR streams as if they were IP cameras. In fact, you could also make Milestone connect directly to the cameras, instead of the NVR (so both the NVR and Milestone would be connecting to each camera).

Need Advice on HikVision Camera Setup

Understand, feel free to go for FTP cable then, just in case. Better spend a little bit more on the cabling, than waste a lot of time replacing cable that does not fit your needs. I didn't even look at the NVR you had posted. The POE ports will serve you for the cameras that are near the NVR. For the cameras that are farther away, as I said I trhink it is just better to put some smaller POE switches along the way, making a tree structure.

Need Advice on HikVision Camera Setup

    1) Don't waste time trying to go that far with POE. Instead of geting a single switch with maybe 16 POE ports, get several smaller switches. Or get a main switch, but a small 4 port POE switch but the cameras that will be very far away, etc. 2) Cat 6 UTP, you don't need FTP. Solid, not stranded.

Outdoor PTZ camera to watch back yard

This one is not a PTZ camera.
  9. That's what I'm using now. It takes forever to load up and start the stream on my HTPC (Q6600). I was hoping there was something out there like the IP Cam Viewer app on android just for Windows. It loads up with all my cameras showing in no more than 2 seconds. And it takes you 75 seconds to load...? Wow How about VLC and RTSP? If you only needed one camera it would be great. If you want to see 4 or more, maybe there is some kind of way to integrate the VLC streams on a web page/html, and just make a shortcut that loads that local HTML on whatever browser you want.
  10. v5.1.2 firmware does not have EZVIZ support, I think you need at least v5.2.0
  11. I am out of here. You either do not read me, or I do not explain myself. Good luck.
  12. You can configure the DS-7216HGHI; but you are not doing it. Device management -> Server -> choose device -> Remote configuration -> Event If you are unable to configure your device from iVMS-4200, just do it from the web interface on the device.
  13. If your HTPC is running Windows, you could do it with iVMS-4200, assuming your computer is at least decent. Install it, configure it to show the 4 cameras you want, save the view as a custom view, close it. Next time you launch the program it will default to the last view you had been using.
  14. The event management you are configuring on iVMS-4200 has nothing to do with the motion detection on the device, which should be adjusted as I said before from Remote configuration: Event -> Schedule Event -> Motion detection The local recordings you do in your computer with iVMS-4200 also have nothing to do with the recordings the DVR is doing on its internal hard drive. I go back to my recomendation of accessing the device with a web browser, and doing the config there. That way you won't mess up the local (iVMS-4200) config with the remote (DS-7216HGHI) config. If in doubt, reset the device to factory settings, which will take it back to 24/7 recording on all channels.
  15. I can not see anything wrong with the configuration... because you did not post anything that is related to motion detection or scheduling. Here is v3.1.3 http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/DS-7100%207200%207300%208100%20HGHI%20HQHI-SH/V3.1.3%20build150212%20Multi-lingual/
  16. Event -> Schedule Event -> Motion detection Also, it will not make a difference in the fact that you are not doing the config right, but you have firmware 3.1.3 available, it would be a good moment to update it.
  17. You would need to get Hikvision SDK and make yourself a program to do it. DS-7106 firmwares are very old, they do not have any way to get a snapshot from a URL.

    usb to cd automatic copying?

I think that 72xx series can use an externat CD/DVD USB recorder unit? If it does, I think that would be the easieast way to do it.
  19. Disable UPnP in both NVR and router, and do it manually. Change the NVR web port to soemthing different than 80, I recommend 90. Web 90, RTSP 10554, SDK 8000. And just forward those 3 ports on your router to your NVR internal IP address (both TCP and UDP).
  20. Move the camera even more away from the wall, you do not weant to be recording the wall at all. And check the motion detection setings on your unit. You should be able to create movement detection zones, so you can just remove the bush from the area where movement is detected.
  21. v3.1.3 http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/DS-72%2073%20HWI-SH%20HFI-SH%2072HVI-SV%20DS-73%2081%2024-ch%2032-ch%20DS-7200HWI-Ex_C/V3.1.3%20build141211/DS-7216HFI-SH%20DS-7216HWI-SH%20DS-7216HWI-SL%20DS-7316HFI-SH%20DS-7316HWI-SH/

    2 CCTV Camera Per Channel

Or you could get a "quad". That way you can record up to 4ch in one single channel; but of course, at 1/4 the resolution. Best solution is to get a new 8ch DVR.
  23. Then yoiu have not configured it right. Post screenshots of your calendar/recording config.
  24. It would help if you post a picture of what you are trying to explain. But it does seem the "mistery light source" will be the infrared from the camera being reflected on that wall. If that is the case, the solution is to point the camera away from the wall.
