Hikvision 2cd2xx2 Firmware 5.2.3 Released
Securame replied to venturis's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
5.2.3 has been out already for a few months now. As you can see from the file name, it is from Oct/2014. -
The fact that you change the ID on the DVR does not change it on the camera. You need to change the ID on the camera first; and then configure your DVR to send the commands to the ID you are using. The menu won't come up if you are sending the commands to ID 2, but you have not first changed the camera's ID from 1 to 2.

How to embed live feed from Hikvision DVR in a web page
Securame replied to CHOPRAMO's topic in Digital Video Recorders
That is a firmware from 2 years and a half ago (20120811 = 11/Aug/2012). It might very well not support RTSP at all... If you can not find any newer firmware for that device, you might be out of luck with RTSP -
No idea. I don't think there is much you can do. And it really would depend on your unit/firmware... I do not feel like doing packet sniffing on my network to find out how the push notifications are actually working. So not much you can do, unless your networking knowledge is very high and have time to spend on researching.

How to embed live feed from Hikvision DVR in a web page
Securame replied to CHOPRAMO's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I have never heard of 72xxHVI-SN. No clue if it is a current model or old model, "and 7204HVI-SN" on google doesn't even give me any results. v1.3.2 firmware surely seems... very old. If it is a very old unit that has not gotten firmware updates in a long time, you might not be able to get RTSP working at all. -
Well, you bet it did, what a nice coincidence! Keep in mind that push notifications go through third parties, so there was nothing wrong with your (or my) Android. In fact, I did test with another device two days ago and it was working; it just was not working with my DVR at home (which has an older firmware). It's good to have them back

Connecting a Hikvision camera to an IntelliSecu
Securame replied to JacobBushnell's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have seen that happen with one of those small NVRs. Don't remember what fixed it though. You are connecting to the RTSP stream of the camera, right? At what resolution is that 2CD2132 working? 3Mp? Try lowering it to 2Mp and 1.3Mp. -
Why it seems that so much people around here doubted that HDCVI (or HDTVI for that matter) worked with UTP and baluns? Of course it does. Dahua has even been advertising the max UTP lengths I would say that from day one they started pushing out HDCVI. You even have HDCVI/HDTVI baluns on the market, which are supposed to give you better quality when using longer cable runs.

Try a firmware update with TFTP. If that doesn't even work, I think you will have to send them back for service.

Is that QSee a Dahua unit? My push notifications stoped working on 15/Jan, and someone else on the forum also reported their push stoped working without any changes.

Try the method listed here for 7200HVISV: http://www.securamente.com/hikvision-como-acceder-a-un-dispositivo-mediante-rtsp/ -
[Need Review] HIKVISION 24 Channel DVR DS-7224HVI-SH
Securame replied to bodmas's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Mode1 should be good for you. If I understand correct, that is 4CIF@12fps all channels. That means that the 24 channels can record at 4CIF (704x576, assuming India uses PAL) at 12 frames per second. We do not carry the HVI-SH series any more, it is a low end series. But if the price suits you, it is a good choice. -
[Need Review] HIKVISION 24 Channel DVR DS-7224HVI-SH
Securame replied to bodmas's topic in Digital Video Recorders
That is a good basic unit, 24ch DVR, 4CIF@12fps for all 24 channel (that is what I understand; but I am unable to find it on Hikvision's web site). Ask the seller to make sure on how many fps it does at maximum resolution on each channel. If 4CIF@12fps (or whatever) is good enough for you and price suits you, go for it (no idea about the price, I do not know what a Rs is worth). About the "free server support"; it is Hikvision who provides that, so he is not offering anything that any other Hikvision device does not also come with. -
Help identify 2 cctv dvr units
Securame replied to pir8teslife's topic in General Digital Discussion
I would say that any DVR that is still using ATA hard disks is not worth the time. They can be used as "fake" units. When doing a real installation, puting the real DVR hidden somewhere, and using an old DVR unit left in plain sight. So if there is a break in, the thiefs will steal the fake DVR, and will not know that there is another unit hiding somewhere. Other than that, I would not pay more than $5-$10 for those. Shipping costs anywhere will be more expensive than the unit themselves. -
Rotating camera 90 degrees + Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I
Securame replied to Kempy's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I would never do it for a customer... But hey, if it is for yourself, do as you please. The "sun shield" (or whatever it is called) will be on the side of the camera, instead of on top. You could even try to disassemble the camera and see if all the guts of the camera can be rotated 90º. -
Rotating camera 90 degrees + Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I
Securame replied to Kempy's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Configuration -> Advanced configuration -> Image -> Display settings -> Video adjustment -> Rotate -> ON But with a 2CD2032 you can't rotate the sensor inside the camera, so you will have to install your camera sideways. Not nice. -
You CAN use a HDCVI/HDTVI DVR as an encoder. I am not sure how easy it will be for a software platform to connect, but with both Dahua and Hikvision a DVR can be used to turn an analog video feed to a digital stream. You can then connect to that video stream via IP. Like; you can connect 4 HDTVI cameras to a Hikvision HDTVI (Turbo HD, as they call it) DVR. And then you could connect from a Hikvision NVR to those 4 cameras just as if they were IP cameras.

Push Notiifications to Android Device
Securame replied to cooper1234's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Push notifications stoped working for me on one of my units. Just tried to disable/enable them again on the same unit, still not working. They do get enabled, but I do not get any notification on my phone. I have tried with another newer unit, and it does work ok. So I guess the problem is not with my phone. Using Android. The unit thjat does not work is an older DVR (analog), the unit that does work is a newer HCVR (HDCVI). -
HIKVision NVR & Trendnet/Axis Network video server
Securame replied to staceyh's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Can't help with that, no idea. What I can help you with is that if you had gotten Hikvision DVRs instead, you would have not had any problemes to get it working. You can use Hikvision DVRs as video server/video encoder, so the Hikvision NVRs can use any existing analog cameras as if they were IP cameras. If you can, return the Trendnet and Axis video servers, and just get Hikvision DVRs for as many channels as you need. It will be very easy to get it working. -
Recommend Outdoor 2mp cam with alarm input
Securame replied to Machineman's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
2532, 2632 and 2732 from Hikvision have model with alarm inputs (the ones that end with -S if I remember right have audio and alarms). -
If it is analog, you don't need help. Just replace the zicom DVR with a Hikvision DVR, or any other DVR that you like.
