hikvision ivms-4500
Securame replied to FIERCE4203's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I've been trying push notifications for a while. Now I do get them within seconds. Sometimes when I view the notification I am able to watch the recorded event; most of the times I am unable to do so. It does bother me, but hopefully push will end up working some day... -
Us the 3 remaining pairs for power...! Of course that might be the problem. It doesn't even look like the camera is turning on the IR leds. Walk up to the camera at night, you might see that the leds do not even turn on.

Of course it does work! Something like this (8ch on the example, you also have 4ch models).

IP Camera Pinging Software?
Securame replied to Pastoff's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Will check it out, thanks! I am interested on having something simple to keep all my DVRs, NVRs and IPCs located, and know when there is downtimes with any of them. Edit: Meh, not what I was looking for... NOTE: Nagios Core Student and Professional editions are available exclusively as pre-configured CentOS 6 (32 and 64-bit) virtual machines. Optional email and phone support plans are available for all editions. -

Just tried it again. Like with the previous tests, it took forever for the push notifications to arrive; about 75 minutes. So the notifications are quite worthless (I do get them in seconds with gDMSS Plus and Dahua devices). The recordings were right now, and it did show me the events I had triggered. No more watching videos from a month ago... Quite strange, I'd say I haven't changed anything. -
Hikvision - analyse archive footage
Securame replied to Brenning's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Well, it is not required. But for all I care, if you do not even bother trying, I surely won't bother either wasting my time, since I am not the one interested. Good luck, I am out of here. -

Security vulnerability in some Hikvision DVRs
Securame replied to mechBgon's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Interesting... Those vulnerabilities are on v2.2.x firmwares, I wonder if they still exist on v3.x firmwares. -
Hikvision - analyse archive footage
Securame replied to Brenning's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Check out safe motion: http://www.securamente.com/como-detectar-movimiento-en-una-grabacion-de-video/ But you will have to export all the video, and then process it. I think it will take you ages. You do not have motion detection setup on the camera? -

Well, I only have Android, so I can not tell you about iPhone. And if I remember correctly... I did have the issue with a DS7208HWISH, that's an anaalog DVR. I did get a message that an alarm had gone off, but when I replayed the recording, it showed me a recording from a month earlier. -

Well, that was weird... My post above meant to say that push notifications do work on Android. And I do just checked again with iVMS-4500 (Nexus 4) and iVMS-4500 HD (Nexus 10), and they do work (they were delayed a few minutes, no idea why). But as FIERCE4203 said, there is an issue with recordings. I did watch opne recording, and it showed me a video from exactly one month ago. If the notification was from 22/Nov, the video it showed me was from 22/Oct (I didn't check if it was the exact time, but I think it was). -

It did work fine for me when I tested it... Nexus 4 with stock Androi 4.4.4 (not sure if that is the version I had when I tried it). -
Hikvision camera issue with Ezviz PLEASE HELP
Securame replied to glenncol's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
That did the trick. I guess that after updating the firmware the ezviz password must be calculated somehow from the serial number. After doing a reset to defaults, it does go back to ABCDEF. I guess that maybe in some future firmware update they will put a section on the web interface to change it by hand, like you can do twith DVRs/NVRs. Thanks! -
Hikvision camera issue with Ezviz PLEASE HELP
Securame replied to glenncol's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yes, I have updated to 5.2.0. I thought that by default the code would already be ABCDEF, and I do not see anywhere on the web interface to change it. Will reset the camera and try again, thanks! -

Hikvision camera issue with Ezviz PLEASE HELP
Securame replied to glenncol's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Same here. I am trying to use EZVIZ, but I do not know what code to use. ABCDEF does not work, and the camera does not come with the newer sticker with QR code and password. Any hints? -
why are all the cameras that come in kits "White" now
Securame replied to jazzgtrl4's topic in Security Cameras
+1 If you want a special color, paint it yourself (yes, that will probably void the warranty). -
On the cheap pre made cables, the shield is shared between the video and power.
-
Just click on a channel, and choose the stream you want to open.
-
You can watch main stream and substream at the same time. You can watch the substream without opening the main stream first. There are many settings that I also can not adjust when connecting with P2P to a device. No idea why, haven't bothered checking.

Securame replied to jazzgtrl4's topic in Security Cameras
Because... sales. We do sell most of our models in white and dark (black, grey, etc).I would say that out of every 10 sales, 8 would be white, 1 black, 1 dark grey. So if you have to stock just a small number of products, of course it makes a lot more sense to stock them in white.
