Nikvision NVR on demand streaming
Securame replied to cctveye65's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
In Android you can configure iVMS-4500 one time, and export it and create an APK with a tool like Titanium Backup, File Expert, ... Then you can install the APK on another device already configured. If you use an NVR, I think that once the NVR connects to the cameras, it will use bandwidth, no matter if someone is watching the streams or not, -
Unbrick DAHAU Camera without RS232
Securame replied to wish's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
The link does work ok. -
You need to use the AUDIO IN connector (which is RCA; not BNC). It will probably be associated to the CH1 camera, so you should put in there the camera on your porch.

Hit the "Free tools" tab.

Well, if you want "excellent quality" I think I wouldn't even be considering Lilin.

And did you try it?

Hikvision DVR Start Live view as default ?
Securame replied to Henriks's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Not sure I understand that. You can also access recordings from iVMS-4200. And the web interface also would not give you access to non-hikvision devices (unless you open several browsers, that is). +1 -
Hikvision DVR Start Live view as default ?
Securame replied to Henriks's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Not done easily; you could use a macro program that would enter the info, click on the given spot for you, etc. It is just easier to use iVMS-4200. -
You can do that with both Hikvision and Dahua. You could replace the DVRs with Hikvision/Dahua units, and then use a Hikvision/Dahua NVR (or hybrid) to record from the DVRs. The DVRs would basically be working as encoders; they would not even need a HD installed (but installing a HD would give you redundant recording, on the DVR and on the NVR).

Remove the wifi configuration on the DVR; or just change the wifi password on your internet connection/router.
-
The easy way, remove the network cable from the DVR.

Will DVR Stream on Smartphone W/O HDD?
Securame replied to permansio7's topic in Computers/Networking
Can't say about that model, but all DVRs I have ever tried can do remote view/streaming without a HD installed. I think it should work. -

Beware gDMSS release September 14,
Securame replied to Liquid_Squelch's topic in Digital Video Recorders
What do you mean with "Dahua clone dvr"? Rebranded unit? I updated to the latest version of gDMSS, and it has worked fine with the 3 Dahua units I have (one analog, one HDCVI, one hybrid). Maybe your DVR might need a firmware update? Also, it is always a good idea to make a copy of a crucial program before updating. I always to do with Titanium Backup. That way you can go back easily to the previous version if something doesn't work. -
You can not turn the admin account into a non admin account; why would you want to do that? You would lock yourself out of the camera without an admin account. Then do not use the admin account outside from home. Change the admin account password, create a new account with limited privileges, and use that limited account.

Cannot view cameras from internal network ?
Securame replied to Henriks's topic in General Digital Discussion
Yes, as I said, when you access from the internal network, you have to use the internal IP address, not the external one. Create/configure a second device on iVMS-4500 HD using the lan IP address. -
Cannot view cameras from internal network ?
Securame replied to Henriks's topic in General Digital Discussion
Your router probably does not support NAT loopback. When you try to access them from inside the network, you should be using the internal IP address, and not the external one (WAN, dyndns, hik-online, etc). -

two switch questions
Securame replied to boomeranging's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
A) would work... And no to B), they do not need to terminate at the router. You can connect the garage switch, to the house switch, to the router. -
Looking to buy DVR with 16 CH x 25 fps!
Securame replied to ExoParts's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Encode capability 2 CH real time D1+14 CH real time CIF It is not 16ch D1 400fps. 2ch will be D1 25fps, the other 14ch will be CIF 25fps (or maybe D1 6fps). A piede of crap, forget about it. -
IP Cam Viewer Pro with Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I on 5.2.0 fware
Securame replied to latropa's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I also do have just one camera updated to 5.2, so far, no issues. -
I'll quote myself.

Are you trying that from inside, or from outside your own network? Use the following web site to check if your ports are open: http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

I do not have any Dahud NVR to test now, but I am quite sure it must support it too. I guess you are using VGA and HDMI outputs for the two monitors?
