  1. If you change the http port on your camera, you have to put it in the browser for accesing the camera... If your camera is: http://192.168.1.20 And you change the port to 90, then you will have to access the web interface with: http://192.168.1.20:90
  2. Everything needs to be different. Like: Cam1 - Http 90 RTSP 1024 Data 8000 Cam2 - Http 91 RTSP 1025 Data 8001 http and https ports only need to be open/forwarded if you plan on accessing the devices with the web interface. If you are only going to use iVMS, you will be fine with RTSP and data ports.
  3. Try to schedule recording on the NVR with "motion | alarm" (that would be, "motion or alarm"). That means that the NVR will record that channel when there is "motion" (video motion detection) or "alarm" (there is an alarm trigger on the device, which can be the integrated PIR, or the alarm input).
  4. That has nothing to do with no-ip. DNS and DDNS are two completely different things. Look for the DDNS section.
  5. Ah, ok. Then your problem is crappy cameras, and not finding an Android app. If your camera can not deliver, no Android app will solve that.
  6. In their latest Android app, it lists this too and has a link to register for it. Yup, I did register, but so far I have been unable to know how this works. Will try to understand it, I guess it must be some kind of P2P?
  7. Good news, thanks! I really want to see what that "cloud support" is about.
  8. That's not going to work. iVMS-4200 is the free software from Hikvision to be used with Hikvision devices (free software, because you have already paid for their hardware). So it only works with Hikvision devices. I'd like to see someone tell me that I am wrong, but I do not think it can be done.
  9. You need to open 4 ports, not just one. Web, RTSP, TCP and UDP port. By default they are 80, 554, 37777 and 37778. Web port is only needed if you want to access the web interface, but you would need to open the others.
  10. The problem might not be the android app you are using, but your bandwidth. I use iVMS-4500 and gDMSS on a Nexus 4, and iVMS-4500 HD and gDMSS HD on a Nexus 10, and I can stream perfectly main stream from all Hikvision and Dahua devices (1920x1080 is not a problem).

Hello: I'm new and looking for information on HD SDI

I'd tell you to forget about HDSDI. Go for HDCVI.

Is your camera the same as the onc pictured? Because that camera doesn't seem to have any infrared at all.
  13. Your laptop has a VGA output; not input. You can not connect a DVR to a laptop with a VGA cable.

    making a video still clearer

Install a better camera. Install the camera on a better spot. Install a camera suited for capturing license plates. Install a camera with better resolution (IP megapixel, etc). You will not get a license plate from that screenshot.
  15. Never heard of 2CD3132, and it is not on Hikvision.com english site. That might just be the local model of the 2CD2132 (with some products Hikvision has a different model for the export product, and the local market product). http://www.hikvision.com/europe/products_show.asp?id=9638 http://www1.hikvision.com/cn/prgs_203_i1409.html
  16. Have you actually checked them LIVE at 4 in the morning? Have you seen the live video, and made sure there is video at 4am? Not the recordings, but live video. Do you actually see video on all cameras at that time?
  17. Do the cameras actually work at night? Check the live play on that time frame to see if they are geting any video. Maybe at night when the IR kicks in there is not enough power for all the cameras to work, and they are just showing a NO VIDEO until there is light again.
  18. I have a Hikvision DS-7716NI-ST and a D-Link DES-1210-28P. The NVR does up to 16ch 5mbps. The switch has 24 ports 100mbps with POE (for cameras), and 4 ports 1gbps (one for the NVR, another one for connecting to my main network). I do not recommend NVR with integrated switch/POE, but that's up to one's personal liking.
  19. Yes, iVMS-4500 does have bidirectional audio.

    Twon way audio

7208HWISH is a DVR, not a NVR. So it works with analog cameras and microphones, not with IP cameras. That means, the audio is not in "the camera location"; the audio will be wherever you install the microphone, and the speakers (which might be near a camera, or anywhere else).
  21. Try with both analog BNC output and VGA output. Also, turn on the DVR with the mouse connected and the monitors ON. If you do not get mouse cursor, disconnect and connect again the mouse. I have had some customers with that same problem. I have no clue on what monitor they use, but the problem has always been on the customers side, when they bring the DVR to test here it always works great in our set ups.
  22. Agree, I am quite sure the IR are not turned on. Check it on the config, or just walk to the camera at night to see if you see the IR leds glowing red.

    dvr h.264

Short answer; no, you can't. Long answer; you can, but it might not be worth the hassle. You should contact the DVR manufacturer and ask them. I would first contact whoever sold you the unit, if possible. "h.264" is not a brand, but a compression algorithm, so "dvr h.264" is just a generic chinese dvr. It might be quite difficult to get a firmware update, if you can do it at all. Post a picture of the front and back of your unit, maybe someone will recognise it and help you out.
