  1. How about checking out iVMS-4200 manual...?
  2. You do not have to connect to port 8000. If the web port is 80, you should be connecting to: http://192.168.1.64 (or http://192.168.1.64:80 , which would be the same) and not: http://192.168.1.64:8000

    Hikvision DVR Time Issue

I never bothered checking time on DVRs that are not connected. I use es.pool.ntp.org because I am in Spain, port 123. http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/use.html
  4. Yes, that one should work. If you try with that power supply the cable should not matter, since you will not be powering the camera over the UTP cable.

    Hikvision DVR Time Issue

Well... The solution would also be NOT unplugging the DVR, then

    Hikvision DVR Time Issue

If you are going to have it online, make it sync the time with NTP.
  7. You can, with a 12V power supply, which you also don't have. The fact that you can ping the cam does not mean it is working properly or that it is geting the right power. Several things can be wrong here, being the camera just one of them. The camera, POE injector, cat5 cable, router/switch, a computer from too many years ago, ... and it seems you do not have many things to try with.
  8. I would try with a shorter cable, yes, to make sure there is not a power (POE) or network problem. There shouldn't be I think if it is replying ok to pings, but the fact that it was going back to defaults... And I would also try with a computer that I know is able to decode 1080p with no problems, I do not know if an iMac from 2007 would do. Or even a smartphone/tablet.
  9. LOL, of course it is a Swann, you can clearly see it . But I think it is a rebranded Hikvision camera, from the looks of the camera, and also from the OSD texts on the recordings. I have this one right above me now, and this one is manufactured by Hikvision.
  10. It could be a problem; it might not if it is not too long. I also think that the computer can be a problem, since the specs are so low. I do not know how much hardware you have around, but I would try it with a decent computer, and with a short UTP cable connected next to the POE injector.
  11. Well, the fact that the camera says that there is some problem with the network is not a good sign. Open again a DOS prompt (start, run, command or cmd) and instead of doing "ipconfig", do a "ping 192.168.1.64 -t". That pings the camera until you tell it to stop. Let it ping for a couple minutes if you want, and finish with CTRL+C. You should have no packet loss and ping times of about 1ms, something like this. What are the specs on that computer? Maybe it is way too old to be able to handle a 1920x1080 video stream?
  12. Your network settings are fine now. Reading this, and your network problems/reset to defaults, I would get rid of that POE injector, and try with a 12V power supply.
  13. That camera could easily make it to the "installation hall of shame" thread... It does look like a Hikvision camera.
  14. Make sure the web port on the camera is 80, and that you are connecting to the right port. Also, try to ping the camera to see if you get a reply on the IP.
  15. Just to make sure, try with IE. Older firmwares did not support Firefox/Chrome, just IE. The gateway should normally be your router (192.168.1.1). You could also update the camera with 5.1 firmware, but I would not try it before being able to connect ok to the camera.
  16. Your computer is probably on a different subnet, being 192.168.1.x the most common. You will have to change the IP on the camera to a IP on your same network, like 192.168.1.64 (mask 255.255.255.0) instead of 192.0.0.64.
  17. http://www.hikvision.com/en/products_show.asp?id=8722 On the "download" tab you can download the manual. Start in chapter 2.1 - Setting the network camera over the lan.
  18. It doesn't matter. I am using HiDDNS right now because I am connecting from outside, but I have used many DVRs/NVRs/cameras with IP/Domain and never had an issue. The first screenshots were from a DVR, which used IP/Domain and dyndns, the second screenshots were from the NVR, which I was using HiDDNS. It doesn't make a difference. Are you using admin account? If the account is not admin, I think it needs permissions to change the channel settings. I can try later locally connecting direct to the cameras.
  19. That is from a 2CD2032 (I am not connecting directly, but through a DS-7716NI-ST, the camera is not accessible from wan). I could also try with iVMS-4500 HD, and I am sure it would work the same way.
  20. That Axis supports ONVIF, so any Hikvision NVR should be able to record from it. But, I would try it making a final buying decission, to make sure it does record from it OK...
  21. 150E for the DS-2CD2632F-IS and DS-2CD2732F-IS cameras? I'd like to see some links on that, even if they are from China. For just a 50E price difference, I would surely go for 2632/2732, even if it is just for the varifocal lens. And if they are the S model, the audio input might also come in handy. I would say that image quality on those 3 models is about the same; they use the exact same sensor. I think there is no "best" when comparing 2632/2732, they are just the same camera in different casing. The models that fits you better will depend on where you are going to mount it.
  22. You can change the stream with iVMS-4500. I use iVMS-4500 on my Nexus 4, iVMS-4500 HD on my Nexus 10, and also IP Cam Viewer Pro on both of them.
  23. Any Dahua device can be accessed from iPhone and iPad with iDMSS (and I am sure that also with third party programs), not just 3208P.

    Need assistance with camera requirement

I don't think you will find a decent outdoors camera with a speaker loud enough to do that. It might be easier to just have a camera with alarm output, and then you can connect a siren on it, and activate remotely from mobile/tablet, have it trigger by some sensors on given time periods, etc.

    Time for NVR?

Many Dahua cameras will have mic or audio in, but not the cheaper ones. I would say that you will have many more with audio in, than with integrated microphone. K100A, KW100A and K200A have POE and mic. http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-k100-k100a--k100w-225.html http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-kw100-100a-100w-457.html http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-k200-200a-200w-458.html If it has mic, you only need the network cable, if you install an external microphone, you will probably need power for the external mic.
