Mobile viewing software for Hikvision 7208,7216- Nokia Phone
Securame replied to CHOPRAMO's topic in Digital Video Recorders
You download iVMS-4500 from Google Play Store. -
On all the 12V power supplies we use there is a small knob next to the connectors that you can turn with a screwdriver. It is used for adjusting the V output with about +-15%. http://www.securame.com/alimentador-para-pared-transformadores-fuentes-de-alimentacion-c-21_83.html http://www.securame.com/alimentador-industriales-transformadores-fuentes-de-alimentacion-c-21_82.html On cameras with very long cables maybe we need to turn up the voltage a little bit to make up for the voltage drop. If you look at the picture on this 12V 15A unit, you can see on the right of the black connectors there is a power led, and also a white knob for adjustment, right on top it says "+V adj".

If you only need one Dyndns host, you can sign up for their one month trial (credit card required), cancel the trial before the month so you won't get charged anything, and keep one free host.

On the first post you said one wire pair, but a Cat5 is 4 pairs... Anyway, if you do have one Cat5 cable, I think that the easiest way would be to just install a DVR, and use the Cat5 cable for connecting it to the network.

You've got a power problem there, that power supply is not enough for those 11 cameras and whatever cable lengths you are using. How many A does it supply? How many A does it supply on each input? Can you adjust the voltage so the output is higher on the power supply end? With voltage drop someone we adjust the output on the power supply maybe as high as 13.8-14V, so the cameras will receive enough A.

Congratulations on the fix " title="Applause" /> , do you think it was worth the effort? The only time I broke the glass of one camera, I just used it later indoors, I wouldn't have gone through all that hassle.

I'll be damned, I didn't notice the widgets... I will try tomorrow, too late already. I did try the app with Hikvision (4 different models), Dahua (2 models), Apexis (2 models) and AVTech (1 model). It worked great with all of them. I also had success trying with a Hikvision DVR, but I didn't get it working with a Hikvision NVR. I didn't bother trying with my Dahua DVR. But I am quite sure that any unit that supports RTSP should be able to get it working.

SWANN 1080p costco bullets - flash hikvision firmware?
Securame replied to jdoggg1's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have also flashed DS-2CD2032-I and DS-2CD2132-I with the latest Hikvision firmware with no issues. I got the latest firm with a few changes, and also the Hikvision logo is now on top, where before I just had an empty space. -
Goog news! Here in Spain I have never seen an ISP block any port (80, 554, whatever). But it seems that in other countries it is not something uncommon.
-
I would try it. But I am not sure where the problem comes from, when I did find this problem it was after some update on iOS, and some customers where having problems with iPhones, while others were not; some where having problems with latest iOS, others were not. I really never found out exactly where the problem was coming from, but it did get fixed by updating all DVRs that were giving me problems to the last firmware. You might try someone elses iPhone, and find out that it works great on that unit.

Ok, so you are on wifi, but a wifi outside the network where the camera is. I understand then that it is an IP camera, and not a DVR?
-
Is this one made by Vididev? It is the only one that I find on Google Play,it has 1000+ downloads, and has not been updated since 30/Jul/2011, so that doesn't say a lot about its quality. This one is last updated 22/Jul/2013 and has 1million+ downloads, looks a lot better. It has a Basic version (free) and a Pro version (paid) that has been purchased over 100k+ times. I will check it out, thanks!

Check that your ports are correctly open with www.canyouseeme.org Some ISPs block port 554, so you might want to change it to something else than 554. Also, what is your firmware version? I have had some problems with iPhones and older firmwares which were solved by updating to the latest version.

Finding a firmware for a Dahua based system.
Securame replied to Lars_G's topic in Digital Video Recorders
If you want to know for sure if it is a Dahua unit, it will help if you post pic of the unit, the back of the unit, and the menu system. -
PSS software problem
Securame replied to eythor's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I do not see what your question is; your PSS has no access to the camera feeds now after you changed passwords? Or you want PSS to reopen the video feeds every time they turn it on? -
Bad image at night - Dahua 3300C
Securame replied to Hathol's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I agree, what's wrong with it? If it is completely dark in this area, it looks fine to me. I would also try moving the camera a bit to the left, so there is not so much wall on the image. -
You have an iPhone by chance? You might need to update your DVR firmware.

VGA and HDMI will always be way batter than BNC.

Hickvision ds-7204 problem after firwmare update
Securame replied to eski's topic in Digital Video Recorders
If you updated the wrong firmware, on the wrong device, you can send in the DVR for service. And you have an old unit, which I think you do, it will probably be easier to just buy a new one. Did you actually know what you were doing when you tried to update it...? -
Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I IR issues
Securame replied to Securame's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Thanks! I should take the time to take some updated pics, since the ones I have were taken at night, and when the shop was almost finished, but not yet fully setup http://www.securamente.com/acerca-de-securamente/ -
Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I IR issues
Securame replied to Securame's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Well, whatever the problem was, it seems to be gone. I received a new unit, tried it on my test bench, IR worked fine. So I tried the unit I have without the cover, and it was doing the same. I took it down, tried it right next to the other one, and they were both working fine. So I thought it had to be a power issue (POE), maybe it was not geting enough power and IR were not working fine... Now that it is back in place, I think that maybe the IR filter was not kicking in place, but I am really not sure on what the problem was. I also updated the firmware from V4.0.9 130106 to V5.0.0 130412, but it actually worked ok on my test bench before doing the upgrade. So, the problem seems to be gone, but I hate it to not know exactly what it was... Edit: I love it how the 5.0 firmware shows you real time were the movement detection is happening -
If you want, feel free to send me by private message your IP, create me a guest account with only live/playback privileges, and I can check it for you. Quite strange that you say you can playback recordings, but not see live view. What Android mobile do you have and with what Android version? I remember at least once having to install the old version of iVMS-4500 (before they released the new GUI) because the latest wasn't working on a phone that was running an old version of Android.

can i (expand, add?) beyond the 8channels on stand alone dvr
Securame replied to brughtus's topic in General Digital Discussion
You could use a quad to record 4 cameras on a single channel; but you would be recording each camera at 1/4 of the resolution, and all settings on the channel would affect at all cameras at the same time (movement detection, movement on one camera would trigger recording of the channel and it would record all 4, etc). Unless you have an awesome 8ch DVR that you want to keep, if those extra 4 cameras are important, it would make more sense to upgrade to a 16ch unit, or just add a second DVR. -
What DVR do you have? Newest models need 3 ports open, web, data, and rtsp. Have you tried connecting from a computer outside your network instead of 3G? You can try accessing from Internet Explorer or from iVMS software on PC or Mac. It should not be a problem since you are trying to access from 3G and not web; but I recommend that you change the default web port from 80 to something else.

Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I IR issues
Securame replied to Securame's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
According to the specs, they both have a 4mm lens, but I haven't checked. I would say that they do have the same angle. I will try tomorrow with no cover, and I should have the new unit so I can compare and see if it does the same. The dome really does not conceal where the camera is looking at, since there would be nothing to see the other way. This is were both units are placed.
