Hikvision Videowall software recomendation
Securame replied to maxysadm's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Max, If it is only for live viewing, iVMS-4200 allos you to display up to 64 video feeds on 4 different monitors. You can set up any live view you want and use it automatically when iVMS-4200 launches (Control panel -> System configuration -> General -> Resume Live View Status). On the "Main view" you can also set up and save different views so they can easily be switched. -

Hikvision DS-2CE56D1t-AVPIR3 video loss Problem
Securame replied to m300raj's topic in General Digital Discussion
Check the power for your camera, it probably is not enough for the camera to work at night with the infrarred on. -

That's correct, 8 HDTVI channels + 2 IP channels.

how to downgrade a dahua dvr firmware ?
Securame replied to samfingcul's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
HCVR4104HS-S2 and HCVR4104HS-S3 are completely different units. You can NOT put the old firmware for the S2 series on the S3 series. -
Bad installation. You did not install the weatherproof protector, so time, water, humidity, etc. did its job over those three years.
-
HiDDNS still works, you cvan still use Hik-online.
-
That looks like such a bad idea... If you are not going to use POE at all on the NVR, use a NVR without POE ports. Configure the IPs on the cameras manually, add them on the NVR, etc.

Hivkision NVR Questions
Securame replied to cosmarchy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
1) Activate virtual host on the NVR so you access the cameras web inteface; or connect with a computer on an unused POE port on the NVR, so you get direct access to the cameras. 2) The camera does not have internet access, so it will not be able to send emails. I doubt it will make any difference having it enabled or disabled. And some (many) settings are different on the camera and the NVR. -
- On the box - On the sticker under the unit - On the network configuration menu, P2P You can just type the serial number on the unit, you do not need to scan the QR code (the QR code is just the unit's serial number).
-
Use an NVR that can use ACTI cameras and that supports P2P. Connect the cameras to the NVR, and use P2P to connect to the NVR.
-
Because your app is for Android, not for Windows. If your IP camera does not have Windows client, you can try this running Android under Windows. http://www.androidauthority.com/best-android-emulators-for-pc-655308/

Help with coax installed Used to IP cameras (aplogies)
Securame replied to bazb's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
If the Cat5E cable is good quality, you can use it for both video (one pair) and power (the 3 remaining pairs). If it is not good enough or the runs are very long, you can use the alarm cable for power. -
Help with coax installed Used to IP cameras (aplogies)
Securame replied to bazb's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
SO, they have COAXIAL cable, or CAT5E cable? You can use both with Turbo HD (HDTVI) cameras. -
4MP cameras at 0.7Mbps bitrate? You will need more than that so the image is not THAT bad, you are compressing it way too much. By default 2MP cameras from Hikvision come at 4Mbps bitrate. No clue on what the 4MP come at, but I would try to use at least 2-4Mbps.

Dahua - IVS on more than one channel/camera
Securame replied to jdn77's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
You will need to buy a more powerfull DVR. This feature uses the CPU on the unit, if it will only do one channel, there is no way around that ("Lite"s are the cheaper models). -
newyourk city, we have verizon here , but do i have to get a business account , ??i tried tmobile and as i said they have have 2 gateway , and wont open ports unless i get static ip Get a unit that supports P2P, like Dahua.

TVR 12hd and iDMSS lite app setup
Securame replied to DynamicHT's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
If you want to keep HDTVI cameras you will need a XVR from Dahua, which supports HDCVI, HDTVI, AHD, 960H and IP. -
You can still use HiDDNS/Hik-online, or use any other paid DDNS service. You will not be able to use P2P with this unit, it's an old firmware.

increasing camera number in NVR
Securame replied to chanklish's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
That will not work. A 16ch NVR only supports 16ch. -
DS-7716 and what else? You need to know the full product model to know what firmware you have to use. DS-7716NI-ST? DS-7716NI-SP? http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/?dir=portal/Product%20Firmware/Back-ends/Recorder/NVR/DS-76%2677%2686%2685%2696-ST%20-SP%20-XT-RT

CAT5e 120 FT connect two 60 ft. or one 120 ft.
Securame replied to h20wakebum's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
What mattaggie said. If you already have the 2pc 60 feet cable, give it a try. If you have to buy it, get a 120 feet cable. -
Click on it to know. It is a warning, probably a "network cable not connected" error.
