No it doesn't sound good. CNB does not sell directly to end users.
-
Do you mind if I ask how much you paid?
-
I want one C'mon! You test a bunch of other expensive goodies! Why not add one of these to the list?

No. Believe me, we've tried... I've used some of the best transmitter's/ receivers in the industry and was grossly disappointed. Believe it or not... wires are the way to go. Try this bad boy out and let me know how it works... http://www.thelaserline.com/ I'm too cheap to try it myself.

My meter is digital anyway...
-
I hate to high jack the thread, but since we're talking electricity bills... has anyone tried any of these devices that plug in past your meter and supposedly "lower" your bill by 15-30%? One of my buddies got one, was trying to explain it to my me but he's not exactly technically inclined...swears he's been saving on his bill though and it's perfectly legal. Although, he could just be trying to make himself sound less-stupid by validating his purchase.

Correct. It works, but it's a little buggy still... sometimes will not connect even if I'm at the house will full strength wifi. Also sometimes forces close. I use a Galaxy S by Sprint

Building a POE from scratch question

Just search Amazon. -
If you are recording 24/7 you probably ran out of disc space. You may be better off hiring a professional to look over the install...

Don't you go dying on us! Lol! But seriously, good to have you back. Just the other day I ran accross an old thread of yours and wondered how you were doing. Glad to hear your health is back! We need someone to keep us young whipper snappers in line!

Do something on a plane and you're going to get noticed...

Insurance? I thought this was a CCTV Forum So why would you want to see every seat in the house vs just at the gate? So what they attended a sporting event? That only narrows down the bad deed to 20,000 people. Seeing "who done it" seems like that may be worth someting. Who threw the first punch that led to a riot? Who launched the object at the dude that got a concussion? Who left that myserious package in row B? What happened in the few critical seconds before the explosion? Knowing who was involved may lead to saving lives some place else... Lots of reasons...

Touch is not availibe in US... looks cool though

Yes, it supports black berry. I rarely set systems up with h.264, if there is a choice.

Yes. Very well.

I ran into quite a few of supposedly rare problems setting up a 6480 system for a client the other day. I thought maybe some one out there could benefit from what I found. The first problem was that XP would not recognize the PCIe NV6480e card simultaneously with the graphics video card. Good bios settings, clearing off Norton Anti Virus, disabling the firewall, installing/ uninstalling the software, upgrading to newer versions, even loading a fresh new copy of XP did not remedy the situation. Turns out the brand spankin' new Vostro I purchased directly from Dell shipped with an outdated version of bios. The issue was addressed with a newer version of bios off Dell's website.Voila! XP recognizes and it installed successfully! The next issue was real strange. After installing and configuring the system with version 7.5, channel 2 and 7 would STOP recording at exactly 7pm every night and begin recording again at about 8am the following morning. Aver's tech support logged in and checked it out. I thought maybe there was some funky settings I missed, but it was configured properly. They recommended upgrading to version 7.7 and sure enough this fixed the issue. I searched for people with similar issues with 7.5, but never found any. Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling 7.5 would have worked? Like I said, supposedly all these problems are rare. But my experience has taught me PC based equipment is hardly ever as plug and play as manufacturers claim. So, after spending many hours figuring out all of those problems, the system is running like a champ and the client is happy. I hope this entry helps someone out there. I had been searching and searching for someone that at ran into similar issues. For those interested in hardware specs, here they are.
