I don't think "can't be beat" is a fair statement. Just because you have not found it yet, doesn't mean it doesn't or can't exist. I think the OP and myself were referring to sub $175 cameras... I'm not sure how we got started talking about Panasonic...

Be careful when you mount them. I've zipped through that really thin gauge black wire that runs real close to the screw holes. Not a good design... they should really zip tie those things or something to keep them out of the way. Took me a while to figure out what was wrong with the camera, and was a total pita to solder back together... Maybe that's your problem?

I'd say the Monalisas are in the top 20 percent of cameras in their price range (at least that I've personally tested) but certainly not the best. (Cue Soundy's CNB love affair rant... I think he must have stock in Vigil and CNB ) I know of plenty better than CNB, but I'll always be searching for the best. I'm constantly testing and evaluating new products. Helps keep me competitive...

that's why you don't use an impact driver to adjust cameras!

look at StarTech for VGA over UTP options. However, once this guy sees the total cost of his supposed "gotta haves" I think he'll quickly either forget about the project or compromise. -

Anyone tried the CNB DVR cards?
bpzle replied to rory's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
They don't sell directly to end users. I'm a CNB dealer, but I'm in the US so that doesn't help you much. If you'd like, PM me andI can get you in contact with CNB's US office and they will be able to find you an authorized dealer near you. -
Yes, the vcms have enough room for baluns. Don't buy anything at Fry's for CCTV.
