my dealer pricing on honeywell cameras is at least 2x of identical cameras, branded under different names. why pay more for the same thing? -
Has anyone successfully used ONVIF in Nuuo? If so, which cameras?

Anyone know if the Aver NVR software only is still availible? Used to come in 4 packs w/ usb dongle... but not on Aver's USA site and my supplier didn't have it on their list.

analog wireless video is garbage. even the good stuff... the stuff that costs $1000 a set can be unreliable. the "digital" wireless solution is IP... if you HAVE to have wireless, either (in order of preference for what little you've stated for your app): a: analog cameras, a dvr without an external housing and IP radios b: ip cams and ip radios c: analog cameras, encoders, and ip radios don't even bother looking at anything else unless it's wired. i mean no offense but if you're installing CCTV for a living and are not comfortable with IP, you will either need to study up or get ready to go out of business.

new aver droid app works fine. hasn't crashed yet... however pay $5 and get the ip cam viewer from the market. MUCH better app. also, if you forward any IP cams and connect directly you get full rez (even digital ptz) with a matrix screen up to 9 channels at a time. you can even email the guy who made the app and he'll add protocols if you give him temporary access to your camera. only took him about 2 weeks to get back to me with one camera. however, the supported list is huge so what you want is probably already supported. some cams have supported i/o features.... there's even a recording feature.

I'd like to know it's real life dynamic range and low light capabilities vs the Vivotek 7560

SSD? Nah... Loading a fresh copy of Windows will get her cookin again. I do that on my frequently used machines every now and then. Also, something simple you can look at is make sure your processor heat sink and fan are free of dust. If it's clogged it will create issues. I wouldn't spend much cash on laptop parts... Just bought a HP 4530 with Intel i3 and 4gb ram.... $485 on amazon with free shipping. Pretty shnazzy little machine for the money. Computers are so cheap and antiquated so quickly these days they're pretty much disposable in my book.

Anyone found a fix? I'm having the same language errors on my windows 7 test machines and on client's. Vista and XP seems to work without any hiccups...

Avermedia EH1004 nano network setup - DNS values
bpzle replied to davox's topic in Digital Video Recorders
What email service were you using originally that worked? Dns is the server used for domain name lookup. Example: yahoo.com = 123.456.789.012. If you don't have the correct dns server, the dvr has no way of looking up ddns servers or email, or any other domain/ service. -
Use alarm function to control spot out. Also, the spot out video feed is unprocessed.. simply switched. This is why the images appear clearer vs network or vga. This is true for most dvrs with spot out.
