fiber optic transceiver discussion - about future trends
vadsys replied to aoshifiber's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
that's right, as i mentioned, it is not possiable that 7 cameras out of work because of the PTZ. firstly, check the optical loss, for years of fiber laying, or after soldering over and over, the loss will be enlarged over the budget. -
fiber optic transceiver discussion - about future trends
vadsys replied to aoshifiber's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
maybe it's just because the camera's ptz was broken? it might be, but 7 out of 10 cameras' ptz were broken? I prefer the fiber's story... besides, it is a FAQ on fiber's issue such as this situation, isn't it? -

pls check my post in your thread. should check the fiber optical loss first, since video could be display but not data, the problem is not possiable on fiber Tx/Rx.... -
PTZ Problem with SM fiber transmission
vadsys replied to vin_sys's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
mostly the problem is about the attenuation of the fiber,as i mentioned in my pre-post, check the optical output power first. you know, for video transmission from camera to monitor, the wavelength is 1310nm, but for the reverse data to the camera, the wavelength is 1550nm.so if the link loss is beyond the budget loss, video still can be displayed, but data can not be arrived at cameras If the fiber has been laid for years,or over soldered, they may casued a big link loss. -
Coax to Fiber optic converter
vadsys replied to sbbamafan's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
this is really pretty old thread to connect cameras with F.O. is very simple, F.O. has 75ohm BNC connectors for video connection, terminal blocks for PTZ data and power supply,SC/FC/ST fiber adapter for fiber cable connection -
PTZ Problem with SM fiber transmission
vadsys replied to vin_sys's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
hi vin_sys, there are lots of possiabilities on this issue may happen. 1st, go check the optical power output, link loss.perhaps the optical attenuation was changed 2ed, do you mean you use the cascade solution with two fibers go through all the 10 cameras in line, just like series-wound?if it is true, maybe it is the F.O. system not so stable, check this with the rep. of ONV. any question, just feel free to send me PM or contact me directly: vad.joseph @ gmail . com btw, we have full range of F.O. solutions, next time may try ours attached the solution scheme for you reference cascade fiber solution.rar -
Another Fiber Question/PTZ Over Fiber?
vadsys replied to 3RDIGLBL's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
hi 3RDIGLBL, seems pdf file is not allowed in attachment there, i try to attach a rar file. any question, just feel free to contact me VDS2850.rar -
Another Fiber Question/PTZ Over Fiber?
vadsys replied to 3RDIGLBL's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
hi 3RDIGLBL, actually it is not so complex as you thought on fiber transmission. For 8ch PTZ, if all the cameras are near close, you can choose a 8ch fiber Tx&Rx with 1ch data (make sure what kinda of fiber,single-mode or multi-mode, and what's the data protocol for the PTZ) if every camera are located not so close, you can choose 8 individual 1ch Tx, Rx in a rack case. check the file attached. -
video color issue over 4 channel fiber tx/rx
vadsys replied to griffonsystems's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
hi PG, since its fine before it went into the fiber, and it worked bad as well in another three cards, the issue was not on the Tx/Rx.Check the input level again. PS,welcome to try our fiber Tx/Rx, it has AGC to avoid such situation. www . vadsys . com -
Wow,man, why not try ours fiber Tx & Rx. Better service than GE such a big company, one of the best quality product in China. Our chipsets are also purchased from US, but the price we request is very reasonable.

quite right!! and the cost of fiber equipment also cheaper than before now..try some new, it will be good for your further projects.
