herm, has the problem been with the cards or the software or the server itself? and have the 5 you replaced been h.264? i am pilot testing an embedded unit and a pc based system from them - both are based on the hikvision card.. and have run into minor issues that havent stopped me from saying the systems are good have you found any better h.264 systems?

www.aventuratechnologies.com sells a good h.264 card with software and i believe it has pda software as well
