    No video...(sigh)

Can someone explain how to use IE to view the DVR? From what I have read from a lot of users on this site that is what they use. Maybe this will be easier. Or maybe not! When I put the address to the DVR in, it says unable to connect. So using the Diagnos Connection Problem, it says no problems with H T T P or H T T P S connection, but could not connect to F T P. Not knowing exactly what that is, is that the problem? Maybe just part of it? Growing frustrated -Mike

I can control the DVR from my computer in network(play, pause, etc.), but no video shows up on remote viewer on the computer. Is there a setting that I missed/messed up? Anyone know how to fix this issue? -Mike

Not Sure which addresses to enter... HELP!!!

Thanks 34Ford and seeseeteevee. I am almost there now. Just one last hurdle I need help on. The computer sees the DVR and the router has port forwarding on 8000. All is good there! I have JM Integrated Remote Station for software using the 'Viewer' option for network viewing . When I go to connect, it says 'connection established,' but I do not get any video. The settings in the software only ask for the ip address and port, so I think that part is right since it says it's connected. Any ideas on how to fix thix problem? Thanks in advance. -Mike
  7. Please bear with me... I am not the most savvy one out here. I am having a fair amount of difficulty trying to get the DVR hooked up to my network at home. I am trying to figure out what addresses go where and my patience just wore out trying to guess... I have the D-Link router EBR-2310 The DVR is Speco Tech DVR-X4/IP I need some direction on what IP address, subnet, and gateway address to enter in the DVR and the remote viewer. I have the DVR and computer both plugged into the D-Link router. Thats what my network is comprised of. Huge I know.. From what I have read about other peoples issues in this forum, I dont think I need to set up post forwarding to see it on just the network, but easily could be wrong on that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! -Mike
