PIR + IP Camera + NVR Software
msecure replied to gonzogg's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Any IP camera with alarm input will do. -
It will only work if you download from browser without any 3rd party download helper. Anyway, here is the mediafire link: http://www.mediafire.com/?9nsympsxs1m6puv

Help with basics regarding controlling a camera with zoom
msecure replied to darkNiGHTS's topic in Security Cameras
That is an IP camera, not an analog camera. So no, it can't control a zoom lens, it doesn't even have RS485 input. It does have digital zoom. Why do you ned zoom? With 5mpx you do not have enough? Where do you want to zoom? And you want zoom without movement? (that is, you want to make zoom on the center of the image) I need zoom because I'll be recording something remotely from behind the audience. So depending on what is on stage, I will need to zoom in or out. I think I figured out a good solution though, they have USB to LANC converters, so with a LANC compatible camcorder, I could be remotely controlling the camera from a computer on site. I just need to make sure the HDMI out is good from those cameras and doesn't include the OSD. IP camera does not have HDMI direct output, if you need that get SDI Zoom Camera with a SDI to HDMI conveter. -

You need to convert to AVI first before you post to youtube. Try this converter http://www.mediafire.com/download/2s9325c47xslsd0/video_converter.zip -

msecure replied to keepsafe's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I am also very interested in doing so but have since given up hope. The picture quality is max D1 & the latency when using wireless android stick is terrible. How was your finding? Can point me to your article? -
Wireless IP Camera (no red glow) for use as baby Monitor
msecure replied to jonhirschman's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
How about having the invisible IR shine down from the top? They are available as downlights with 90 & 120 degree option. -
Wireless IP Camera (no red glow) for use as baby Monitor
msecure replied to jonhirschman's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
What is the distance of the camera to the crib? Because 940nm is 1/2 the performance of normal IR LED. -
Thanks, sounds comforting. If I just use it for direct connection to NVR most of the customers will never bother to login into the IPC menu anyway.

Dahua Config Hacking! NFS, SD Card redundant writes working!
msecure replied to goldserve's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
If you off/on the IPC this settings will be gone? -
Only certain channels or all have problem? The other SD-I DVR from which company if it's ok for you to disclose.
-
i have here in the netherlands the same problem as you , we try everthing but no solution i think the problem is in the HD-SDI recorder we chance everything !!! Did you try to use a short run of RG59 and connect the camera straight to the DVR?
-
You can use RJ45 VGA KVM but instead of remote control, you have to use mouse. They come in 100 & 300m range. You will need to make use of all the 4 pairs but Cat5e will do. BTW, you won't need a splitter at the DVR side because the unit have VGA In & Out.

MaxIcon, i got the manual on unbrick from dahua. I dont have the rs232 adapter yet, probably be in better hands if someone with Linux skill trying figuring this out before i should. http://www.sendspace.com/file/6i3m28 here is pdf, forum wont let me upload pdf here. thanks Thanks, didn't know that we can revive the IPC-HF3200 without opening the case of the camera. Brick mine few days ago & was rather lazy thinking I need to open it up.

What type of RG59 are you using? Extracted from Videcon SDI camera brochure Important - Please Note For HD-SDI installations, we recommend that this device is used with RG59 cable, with an inner conductor made of bare copper, with a minimum diameter of 0.7mm. Using a copper clad cable, or one with a smaller inner conductor, is very likely to reduce cable lengths or cause signal loss. Using the recommended cable should ensure that cable lengths of 100 metres can be achieved.

Did you try flashing back to an older version to check?

I haven't heard of anyone doing it on the Dahua yet, but it should be straightforward. My last attempt to figure it out on an HFW3300C was a waste of time because I was going straight from the TFTP connector to a serial port/USB adapter, and forgot that PC RS232 had a different voltage range than the camera's ports. As a result, I captured activity on the port, but none of it made sense... So, based on that, here's what you'd need. I'm a bit of a hacker on this stuff, so a lot of this is educated guesses, but I'm pretty sure I'm going down the right path. - TFTP server software - I use tftpd32 for managing my switches - A usb to 3.3V serial adapter like this: http://www.amazon.com/PL2303HX-RS232-Cable-module-Converter/dp/B008AGDTA4 - A full set of files for your cam, not just the .bin file. These are readily available and are usually around 80 MB. It wouldn't need to be the latest version, just a compatible version, since you'd be able to do an upgrade if you got it back online. The TFTP update would happen one of two ways: - Automatically checks for a TFTP server and updates the file with the name it's looking for if it's there (the Hik bullet does it this way) - Connects to the TFTP server and requires a manual update (the Dahua NVRs and my corporate switches do it this way) One problem with the 2100 is that the connector that I think is the right one is under another board, but all my work's been on the 3300. I got one of the 3.3V cables last week, and may have time to mess with it this weekend. Anyone with TFTP experience, please correct any mis-assumptions I've made! Referring to this?

Actually there is street light present, if I disable IR it will be in color but I find the black/white image is clearer.
