My name is NIck - born in NY but now out of Florida Hopefully this forum will be a great spot to share ideas and gain knowledge. I have been working with CCTV for about 4 years my specialties are analog /IP cameras & DVR's (all types) - I do a little bit of access control also. right off the bat a couple of questions 1) best source for inexpensive Baluns ( the kind with the pigtail) that dont get all cramped and in the way in the back of the DVR 2)H264 hardware vs software compression what do you guys think - also has anyone out there had trouble on multiple playback with H264 DVR ?? anyway ... good to meet everyone - I know we will be talking in the main forum as well ... is that the right place to go to after introduction - the general forum? I think all the twitter hype is just that - the mass media trying to push some mindless crap on us - we dont need it ! Next thing you know you will be listening to the Jonas Brothers and reading Stephenie Meyer's books . Stick with what is real you guys ...
