The router is using port 80 for html, which i read is pretty common. I think i may have found a possible issue. I may have the gateway set wrong in the dvr.
  3. I am doing something wrong or have missed a step. I have the Avermedia 1304. I signed up with Avermedia DDNS. The internet is coming via Netopia DSL wireless/lan router. The dvr box has a static IP outside the range of the router DHCP. The mask and gateway are the same as in the router. The DNS is also the same as in the router. I cant use port 80 because the router is using it so I am on 5001. I opened ports, 5001, 5550, 5555, 1053, 53 as recommended by a service ticket to Aver. I can see the box from the local network using IE and the software. If I browse to (the domain xxx avers com tv) from the internet i get a blank page. From the router I created separate pinholes for each port and followed the directions listed in the sticky. I have been reading and wonder if there is something I need to do that deals with the DMZ/gaming settings? Any help would be appreciated.
