    .5 Lux Lighting ?

I'm not sure what's to dislike about IR lighting? Properly implemented and preferably not emitted from the cam is going to be the best solution. Finding decent emitters, that's the challenge. I'm just not crazy about the "dog's eyes in headlights" look. I thought white light was preferrable to IR? I'm not very exprienced so please excuse my ignorance. I've been looking at Extreme's emitters but am still trying to digest the cost (guess you get what you pay for).
  3. I would love to read the white paper however, I don't know you well enough to give you all of my contact info just to do so.... No worries, you can download it off of our website there. Worries..when I click "download whitepaper now" it directs me to a site requiring my info...?? Ya, they just like to know who visits the site. Put whatever you would like. Thanks for directing me to this whitepaper...very informative.

  6. May I trouble you to ask what kind of DVR's\NVR's you used in this instance? I was thinking about the 4ch NUUO mini. Any thoughts, good or bad there? thanks so much!!

  8. Thanks for your input, Soundy.
  9. In my opinion, the nh700. But if the subject is too close all the IR's will wash anything remotely identifiable out. However, I did a demo of these three in a seperate thread.....wanna make an offer on the Nuvico?
  10. I have the above cam that I bought last week. It has been velcro'd to my porch rail since last friday night. Functions fine but has aluminum rail marks (grayish-black) on each side from removing the sun shield for adjusting settings. Make a reasonable offer. Cost of shipping will be my cost. Shipping to Cont US only, please.
  11. There are three pics from it here: http://s676.photobucket.com/albums/vv128/ctucker_ini ..pics are named by cam model.
  12. The KT&C's were purchased from a seperate wholeseller than the Nuvico's and since I'm a reseller, I don't think I can advertise in this thread. Sorry, don't mean to be an a55 but I don't want Rory on my bad side.... I do have the Nuvico for sale in the classifieds here at cctvforum...
  13. Good evening everyone. I just purchased 1 ea of KT&C KPC-n600nh, KPC-n700nh and Nuvico CB-SD21N-L bullets today....should have them by the end of the week. Would demo pics/clips be of interest to anyone? I wasn't able to find any and since I won't sell a product that I haven't tested I just broke down and bought one of each....everyone shouldn't have to do that. If they are too cheap to be of interest to anyone, I understand.
  14. that's what I get out of it. maybe someone more experienced could get better results out of the Nuvico (like say, if I had a 21" bosh monitor and tripods) but,....why go through the trouble?? If these KT&C's prove dependable, I think I may be in....at least for non-mgpixel applications.
  15. I still think the n600nh has a more crisp image than the Nuvico. The n700nh is the same, with more IR. What do you all think? Look at the "evening" pics http:// http://s676.photobucket.com/albums/vv128/ctucker_ini/
  16. I may have found my problem...Tailbone, check for a smudged up oily film on the lens (the camera lens it self, not the cover). Can't believe it took me so long to notice that....live and learn, I guess.
  17. ...think I may have found the problem with the Nuvico. There is an oily film over the lens with smudges....is it suppose to be there (remember, I'm a complete nube at the camera thing)? What household items do you all use to clean lenses?
  18. This is all I have at the moment. I will try go grab some clips this evening. I'm still trying to get the Nuvico focused correctly....actually have it for sale in the classifieds here. Will post more when I get a chance. http:// http://s676.photobucket.com/albums/vv128/ctucker_ini/
  19. ...wish this dad-gum Nuvico would come into focus for me!!
  20. Yes Sir. I've tried locking down the zoom and focusing and vice-versa in day and night environments. I'm going to try again tonight, turning the BLC and other "frills" off, to see if it makes a difference.
  21. No worries.... I greatly appreciate all of your help!
  22. Yeah, I know ....I just hate creating accounts. I'll get around to it. That's sweet about the linux software, I'll check it out. I actually have a Hik 8000 series non pc based DVR...will the linux software still work with it?
  23. that's just it....I've spent literally hours trying to get that last bit of focus that I know has to be there but I just can't get it. That pic was grabbed using the web client. I just grabbed one from the 4.74 client.....however I still can't upload it It is D1 at 12fps.
  24. na...I built this one about two years ago. Do you live in Ga? ..still telling me "can't access ftp directory"...I'll keep trying, I've got a day of the n600nh now as well. ...these make me really want a megapixel. I just put in a couple of 211M's for a client and
  25. a quick note about the n700nh day pic: I tried my best to focus it on the far pickets, not the table and chairs that are directly in front of it.
