    Yes, it sounds like a GLF (Ground Loop Fault) to me. My suggestion would be to: ISOLATE the camera from any metallic base and then try it. Disconnect the camera, connect it direct to the recorder - still flickering? Replace the lead (power and coax) temporarily with a new one - still flickering ?
