How do you turn off Geovision Watchdog reboot in version 8.
bobbyo replied to bobbyo's topic in Geovision
Yes, I will disable any channels not being used. My concern is I am planning on upgrading a large club here to 2 Geovision 16 channel systems and I am worried they will start rebooting whenever a camera losses power. Power loss to cameras has happened in the past and I think they will freak out. Thanks -

Anybody? Rory can you help with this? Thanks again for any help. -
Hello, Sorry to ask this question if a solution was already posted. I tried a search and could not find an answer. How do you turn off the automatic reboot when there is a video loss? Thanks for any help and if there is a posting on this can you direct me to it.

Thanks Jasper. looks like I am going to try it out. Once I do, I will post some pics.

Anybody? I know the PX100 is new. Anybody use the Panasonic WV-CS954?
-
Anybody familiar with the PX100 speed dome from Extreme? I am interested in this one for a low light bar/lounge. I also was looking at the Panasonic WV-CS954 but thought since Extreme is the night time master I would give them a try. Thanks again for any information or advice you may have.

Anyone using Avermedia cards& software
bobbyo replied to baywatch's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I agree with CollinR, 640 by 480 would be fine. As for stand alones, I like the features and performance you get with PC based DVRs. Thanks for your help Kandcorp. I'm going to try the AverMedia card out and will let you know how it works out. -

Thanks kandcorp. My concern is alot of specs say 30 fps per input but then you find out this is at a lower resoulution. usually 320 by 240. Higher res. 720 by 480 will then be 7.5 frames per second. One last question, can the 7000 series cards do 720 by 640 at 30 fps per input? Thanks for your help. BTW - I saw a demo of the Avermedia cards and I was impressed. -

I see in the specs for the NV5000 card that it does 120 fps. Can you get 30 frame per second at 720 by 480 with 1 NV5000 card using only 4 inputs? How about 2 NV5000 cards and 8 inputs? If so, this would be a great card for real-time systems. -
Thanks Rory. I will definitely not use cheap cameras.

Rory, Those shots of the dance floor are clear. I am impressed. Are those the Provideo black and whites? Again Rory, thanks for your help! You are the best! When I finally get the cameras up I will post a few shots.

I just saw the pictures. They look great! What DVR are you using. Thanks again for you help

Rory, any particular models you can suggest? I figure try one out and see how it works out.

WOW Rory, I would think you need fancy day/night camera with auto iris for the dance floor. I have to try your suggestion out.

Thank you Rory! I really appreciate your response. Its funny, I was just looking at WizKids site before reading your post. I definitely will check out there product. Will these cameras respond well to flashing light on the dance floor? That seems to be the most difficult to monitor.
