  1. I have question as to which cameras works best in nightclub situations? Low light areas, flashing lights and fog. After reading some of the forums, I think the Extreme I/R, Panasonic WV-CP484/474 or Bosch LTC0495/20 cameras might work. Is there a more cost effective camera? I appreciate any feed back and thanks for this great forum. Tons of info.
  2. Hello, Sorry to ask this question if a solution was already posted. I tried a search and could not find an answer. How do you turn off the automatic reboot when there is a video loss? Thanks for any help and if there is a posting on this can you direct me to it.
  3. Yes, I will disable any channels not being used. My concern is I am planning on upgrading a large club here to 2 Geovision 16 channel systems and I am worried they will start rebooting whenever a camera losses power. Power loss to cameras has happened in the past and I think they will freak out. Thanks
  4. Anybody? Rory can you help with this? Thanks again for any help.

Extreme PX100MX.N Good for low light?

Thanks Jasper. looks like I am going to try it out. Once I do, I will post some pics.
  6. Anybody familiar with the PX100 speed dome from Extreme? I am interested in this one for a low light bar/lounge. I also was looking at the Panasonic WV-CS954 but thought since Extreme is the night time master I would give them a try. Thanks again for any information or advice you may have.

Extreme PX100MX.N Good for low light?

Anybody? I know the PX100 is new. Anybody use the Panasonic WV-CS954?
  8. I agree with CollinR, 640 by 480 would be fine. As for stand alones, I like the features and performance you get with PC based DVRs. Thanks for your help Kandcorp. I'm going to try the AverMedia card out and will let you know how it works out.
  9. Thanks kandcorp. My concern is alot of specs say 30 fps per input but then you find out this is at a lower resoulution. usually 320 by 240. Higher res. 720 by 480 will then be 7.5 frames per second. One last question, can the 7000 series cards do 720 by 640 at 30 fps per input? Thanks for your help. BTW - I saw a demo of the Avermedia cards and I was impressed.
  10. I see in the specs for the NV5000 card that it does 120 fps. Can you get 30 frame per second at 720 by 480 with 1 NV5000 card using only 4 inputs? How about 2 NV5000 cards and 8 inputs? If so, this would be a great card for real-time systems.

Rory, Those shots of the dance floor are clear. I am impressed. Are those the Provideo black and whites? Again Rory, thanks for your help! You are the best! When I finally get the cameras up I will post a few shots.

    IR or Day/Night for nightclub

Thank you Rory! I really appreciate your response. Its funny, I was just looking at WizKids site before reading your post. I definitely will check out there product. Will these cameras respond well to flashing light on the dance floor? That seems to be the most difficult to monitor.

    IR or Day/Night for nightclub

Thanks griffonsystems! I have read good things about Extreme cameras and saw some amazing pictures posted in one of the threads. If the area is more lit with out flashing lights, like a restaurant, would Day/Nights work?
