  1. I've had a number of 751s at my home and was reasonably happy with them. I did have sensor failures on most of them, but IQ replaced them without a hassle. I've now replaced all these with 752s and 753s for the day/night features. There's not much you have to do to get ready. It's very easy to access and providing you can reach them from the internet, it's easy to bring it up on the web. You can give access to as many as you want and even set it up without passwords. Just had to get this off my chest

    Congrats, Dad!
  3. I've ordered from them five times over the last two years. Every order arrived as advertised. I've haven't had any problems. HTH, Kevin
  4. Hi, Matt. Just wanted to update on my RMAs. I sent the two 711 cams by 2-day air and got two replacement cams back by 2-day air in less than a week. Don't know if they are new or refurbs as I haven't broken the seals. It concerns me that two imagers failed so soon, but can't beat the service from IQEye and Colleen. Kevin
  5. Hi, Matt. Yep, the one 711 has the exact issues your cameras have with imager. Same messages. The other has the color problem you and I discussed in this thread: http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=23867 I dealt with Colleen yesterday, and she was great. My warranties expired 1/31/11, so it wasn't as much of a stretch as your waiver, but I was still happy with the consideration. Now I just have to get out the ladders and open up the housings. Fortunately, I have a couple of backup cams, so I can do a swap and don't have to wait for the repaired cams to come back. Kevin
  6. I have six in my home, 752s, 711s, and and A11S. I had to RMA two 711 cams just yesterday. Seems to be imager problems with both. One had a problem for a while where the color bit depth seemed off. The other just went black. When I went into setup, the LightGrabber dropdown box was missing and replaced with LIGHTGRABBER Err::Unknown OID. Changing any settings gives a message box the says %Error: no imager detected. On the Window tab the Crop tab only has 0x0 in the presets. Spoke with IQEye and they said it sounds like imager problems with both. Fortunately, still under warranty. I use TrendNet POE switches. Picture problems with outdoor IP camera

I will try that, Matt. I do have another 711 I could install there, but it's a PITA to get to the housing. If the power cycle/cooling doesn't help, I guess I'll have to swap the cam to see if it could be a problem with the cam or the cabling. Thanks for your help, Kevin

Picture problems with outdoor IP camera

All my IQEye cams are set to superfine. Changed it to another setting, then changed it back, no change. Also updated to the latest firmware: IQeye711 Version V3.0/8(100702). No help. Thanks, Kevin

Picture problems with outdoor IP camera

That's exactly what it's like, Matt, as if the color depth changed. But I can't find any setting for that. Silly answer to your question, no, I hadn't thought of rebooting. I just did it, though, and it didn't change it. I'm not at home now, so I can't cycle the power. I'll have to do it later. Thanks for the suggestion, Kevin
  10. Happy New Year, all! I have a number of IQEye cameras in Pelco housings outdoors. One of the cams, an IQ-711, has developed picture quality issues. I haven't been able to correct this. I've attached how the quality used to be, and a snapshot from this morning. Thanks for looking and for any advice. Kevin

email notification on motion IP cam

Hi, Matt. I didn't bother putting the IP in because I don't need to have this cam email me anything. I was just testing the settings to confirm if it was an Axis or ISP problem. The FQDN resolves properly, as I use it in all my outdoor cams (three different brands), my Elk XEP, and my Homeseer setup. All work just fine with the same settings. It's not a DNS problem. Hold on... I just logged into the camera and changed to IP address. Still no joy. Same failure as before. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Thanks, Kevin

email notification on motion IP cam

You're welcome, Christopher. Amazing that a name-brand camera has problems with a simple function of IP cameras. I had never tried the Axis email before, since the Axis is my indoor camera and my alarm system would notify me if someone got in. All my exterior cameras email with any motion. I use that all the time. Glad I didn't get Axis for outside. Thanks, Kevin

email notification on motion IP cam

Since you still seemed to have the problem, I tried it with my one Axis camera. I can't get it to work, either. Keeps saying Primary Server Failed. It's not an ISP problem, as my ISP doesn't block 25 and I tried it with an alternate port and still didn't work. All my IQEye cams, my Panasonic, and my ACTi cam work fine on Port 25. No joy with the Axis. I see Christopher has the same problem. Seems like it's Axis and not your ISP. Did you try Axis? Kevin
