Nubie here - problems here
Eddiekr03 replied to Sandbuster14's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I am not an expert on Nuuo but it sounds like more of a PC problem then the card itself. I would recommend calling James again and have him walk you through updating the Drivers again, because when you reinstalled the software you may have overwritten the new drivers back to the old ones, causing you to have the error message again. This may fix your problem with the errors, but also not sure how you installed it but Nuuo cards require you to install the software and drivers before you install the card or you will usually have these problems. -
Need help designing a new system for a warehouse
Eddiekr03 replied to somi97's topic in General Digital Discussion
In all honesty, it is going to be tough to find a 8 camera system for around $1200 especially one that needs all infrared cameras. I would recommend calling a company that does wholesale pricing like cctv imports or some others that advertise on the forums, most are very helpful and have an excellent customer service. As far as camera i would recommend going with something with a wide lens and not so far a range on IR or you will get a spotlight effect, and you will miss out on most of the warehouse at night (like the ones in our warehouse ) unless there is one or two lights left on at night. Hope this helps -
Hey, you can hook the video connection to your DVR, and put power to it. That will let you know that the camera is getting video and power, you can also make sure the unit goes through the original start up when you power it on it should pan and tilt. But the only way to really make sure that you can control it with a remote or DVR is to hook it up as far as i know.

I would say stick with the Viewsonic, Panasonic may get a little noisy at night times. If you could use the VGA for video I would definitely recommend it. The reason the VGA is going to be a better picture is because it splits the video more then a BNC or S-Video (Which is getting phased out), causing the picture to be sharper. The only thing better then VGA is HDMI or DVI.

CCTV Imports sells a good DVRPEN that you can hook to your PC and use as a webcam as well...

I did a simple search of that part number in Google and it brought me to encompass parts, who sells the piece you are looking for, but if you have any more problems getting it I think cctvimports can get you the part from Northern video.

I am not sure if any camera will do well against a smoke filled room...Unless you put out for a thermal camera which will be pretty pricey.
