Thanks for the response. The nuuo device link says it can only support 4-8 cameras. I just threw the $2-3k out there as a figure, it could go higher if needed. I like Axis camera station but since it's windows based I wanted to avoid it. There was a Windows based NVR I looked at it and it advertised "scheduled reboot" as a feature. Talk about dressing up a bug to look like a feature.

I live in a rural area in NW Oregon. Some low life came in and ripped off an $800 600lb set of pallet forks while we were gone. For a long time I have been wanting to install a few cameras to see what sort of wildlife ambles by (I swear there were bear tracks in the snow this winter) but this theft has me off my butt and doing it for real. So far I have a couple of Axis cameras and am figuring things out as I go.

I ordered an Axis ACH131HB (model 24889) outdoor enclosure from a third party vendor through Amazon. They shipped me a chinese "Sunell" model SN-CH302HF. When called on it they claimed they were out of the Axis housings and what they shipped me was an "upgrade" worth $200 more and of much higher quality. Seems like a bait and switch scam to me. The Sunell may do the job but it appears to be inferior to the Axis housing in quality. As a newbie I admit to cluelessness though. Anyone know about the relative quality of these two outdoor enclosures?
