Supervisor works. You might not set it up correctly.

Actually, IMHO, more LED's doesn't mean better. The cameras consume more power when there's more LED. Also, more LED doesn't mean further. It depends on your surrounding as well. Most cameras does auto contrasting, electronic shuttering nowadays. When there's a stationary object in the near field of your camera view, e.g. table, lamp pole, flower, overhanging branch, or even spider web, the IR LED will reflect off these object. It'll basically force your camera to adjust the brightness lower so that they are able to see these object shin brightly by the IR LED light. This in turn will render things further away into total darkness. That's why the specs say the effective distance of the LED, and not how far the IR Camera can see. Basically, those cam that says can see that far a distance at night guaranteed... be sure to ask for $$ back guarantee.

IF i am not wrong, Swann's basically for DIY. And most of their cameras are low range CMOS cameras (so far the range i had seen in aust and singapore). And their DVR's basically OEM's from other brand. E.g. http://www.swannstore.com/store/cart.php?target=product&product_id=515&category_id=44 DVR 4400â„¢ MPEG 4 = CPD-560 = AVC-760. IT stated MPEG 4, but did not mention MPEG 4 only when you record at CIF. At Frame (4CIF), it's recording in mjpeg. DIY, easy to install, yes. Go with swan. Want something better, check out other supplier.

The older model, those simplex machine, the mpeg2 one, uses activex. The newer one, AVC-760, etc, uses JAVA.

anybody download past events remotely?
Daryl733 replied to acableconnection's topic in Digital Video Recorders
And you have to tell them that even though the ISP printed that the upload speed is 512k, it's NOT guaranteed. That's only "UP TO". If they don't believe, they can call up their ISP to confirm if they can guaranteed the upload speed or not. And also different time of the day got different speed due to traffic load, etc. -
There's always a limit to watch each devices can do.... Refer to Defence in Depth. Anyway, wear a hood and a raincoat and platform shoes, stuff some padding, cctv also no use.
-
All watch from computer only. So far, i've not encounter a DVR that records CD/DVD in the VCD or DVD format for the players. (Unless your player can read AVI files).

Can't we have the address in plain text? It doesn't have to be in html. http://www.lakson.com.sg/cpcam Use your mobile phone to surf to this site.

Thanks !

Yes. But at any 1 time, you can only connect and display up to 25 cameras per PC. The 64 Cameras version is in the work. Unless what you are asking for is to display up to 2000 (500 x 4) cameras at a single time, then no. the system cannot display that. You'll need multiple pc to do that.

Hi, you can drop me a PM or send it to daryl733 (at) hotmail (dot) com. Thanks in advance.

It's not the best, but it'll fit your requirement as you had specified. What you had wanted. 1. 752 x 582 , AVC-785 - 720 x 576. 2. 25 FPS per Cameras, AVC-785 - 50FPS. If you only use 2 cameras, just nice. 3. CDRW/DVDRW - AVC-785 Support an option for it. Even for Panasonic ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/pub/Panasonic/CCTV/SpecSheets/WJ-HD100.pdf is 640 x 240 Sanyo http://www.sanyosecurity.com/pdf/cctv/cat/vcr(ntsc)/dsrm810.pdf 720 x 576 Not too sure where u get this specs 752 x 582 from.

It's still not accessible. Any solution ? Emailed AVTech, never give any answer.
-
well.... from what you say, you could even get AVTech's model. Intead of getting the AVC760 for 2 cameras, get the AVC-785 (8 channels model). It support 50fps for FRAME recording, enough for 2 cams at 25fps each. And it has a option for DVD writer.
-
I know it'll not interfer with current recording. But the LIVE monitor will switch to whichever channel that's being backup, interferring with the current live view.
-
Totall agree. Time is better spend tinkering with other devices. This devices' sold solely on low pricing.
-
Ever tried the network backup ? Think when u do that for channel 1, your live feed will switch to channel 1 as well.
-
Looks like it's a AVTech's DVR. Another OEM model no. Some firewall, using mac safari also got this prob.

Video Analytics with IP Cameras

Anyone has any experience with using Axis Video Intelligence System ? http://www.axis.com/products/video/about_networkvideo/iv/system_design.htm What i need is to analyse location for activities. When the activities exceed a preset amount of time, e.g. 3 hrs, it'll trigger an alert and sent out email, etc to user. Any recommendation ? Looking at maybe 80-100 pcs of cameras, to do that. So Large Scale implementation is neccessary. -
Wait till daytime comes... your picture might be blurred again. If that's the case, basically you are not using the correct type of lens. Should use day/night lens.
