I need some recomendation for a good test monitor. After being out in the bright sun I found I did not focus some cameras as well as possible. I am using a little 2.5" test monitor that is mediorcor. Time for something bigger. I went and bought the everfocus en2200 5.6" test monitor but it is horrable huge external battery no power lead for the camera, can't see the on indicortor and has a lamp switch for a power on. Anyhow that is going back. Most seem to be 3.5" is that really enought? I don't need but am thinking of ptz controls if it is not to much more. What are people using that is good?

I need to upgrade a camera (not my install) to one with IR. The guy wants to cover his driveway which is about 100' long the camera is at the frount door so it is possible someone may walk up to it. I need a recomendation for an IR camera. THis also needs to be nice looking and mounted on the side of a house he has a little bullit cam on a 1 gang box there now. I am a CNB fan so I was looking at a LCM-24VF 2G, hopefully this is not two big, how is the range oor IR on this? -
Need advice I need a regular camera in a babys room
programmergeek replied to programmergeek's topic in Security Cameras
we have one but a picture is nice we really want to see if she is out of bed. But you bring up a good point about the IR. -
I was wondering if there is a way that the geovision card can output each coax camera inputed to it out to a streaming web stream or page or if I can some how pluck that off a URL. The reason I am asking is I am trying to take the feeds and have another home automation system use the feeds to display various cameras.

It is a 24vf it is on my test bench right now it will go out the the client in a week or two. The camera is just wired using a piece of coax and an external battery to test with nothing fancy yet.

I have an install job and they want a camera in the baby's room to see them. My issue is I just don't know what to put in there I could just order a cnb with IR which would probably be fine but wanted some input. This has to have IR, be able to view most of the room maybe a 1.7 or 2.3 lens. What have people found that works? Also if the IR doesn't glow red that is a plus, so it doesn't look like a giant eyeball from hell looking down in the dark creeping out the baby. -
I just installed a geovision 1240 card and plugged in a CNB camera. I can't beleve how bad it look, large pixles, tree leaves have a purple hue around them. There has to be a setting to adjust, where do I find it?

Other requirement is it has to have a zoom.

I have a cuystomer that is insistant on using IR emmitors. I normally use the VBM-24VF. This is going to be used indoors so no spiders to worry about. What is the equlivant to the VBM-24VF with a IR emmitor or is something else recomended?

Perfect but no luck on the Tremclad. I went to the local borg and they don't carry it, any idea who does in the states, or any oter paint people have had sucess with?
-
I have to paint some of these to match the landscape. I found Rustolum camofloge paint, it is perfect looks like a tree branch and is flat. Trouble is I sprayed the arm and camera but it doesn't seem to stick as well as I would like. Besides stripping these down to the metal and priming how can I paint them with a durable finish. I know there was a thread a week or so ago on painting them or it was part of a thread but I couldn't find it. Will some sort of primer solve my issue, or maybe a light sanding? Or do they just wax the finish or something?

For us there pricing was horrible not at all competitive. The reginal rep called me and kept on trying to meet me but never did anything on pricing and I wasn't going to spend a day to waste my time. There is several ADI one or two towns away from us in plainfield NJ, etc I could run to in case I needed something fast but they are so rude on the phone and the prices are so bad I now just order sturff from suppliers out of state but no more than one state away. As soon as I get into PA the prices drop and it gets sent to the shop the next day anyhow. If your local one is good go for it but mind has been horrable and besides they don't carry CNB
