Hi to all, new to the forum and this is my first post, at present I have a four cam set up connected to a PC based CCTV card a Chateau VG4C-RT4, although the card has plenty of settings to play with, the recorded images are captured in H.264 only and I am a little disappointed in the end result as the recorded image is somewhat pixelated, more so on the night time recordings and it pulses in and out, anyway there doesn't seem to be a lot I can do about that, so my question is would I get better results say if I were to hook it all up to something like an AXIS 241Q, this option does seem to be rather an expensive one, but so does replacing the card for a high end one, or is there some other software I could use with this card that gives different recording settings IE: MPEG4 Mjpeg H264 and then some picture quality and frame rate settings. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated pander

Ok maybe my first question was to hard, LOL Is it possible for some one to go some way to explain why there are artiffacts and pixelation on the recordings ?
