by the way, on the KTNC 600NH1 , 3 people from my office tried opening them, but could not..they all came to me, and i was able to open them all. My "trick" is that i have been training for about 3 months to rip the yellow pages in half. It has given me a very strong grip to take this apart. So anyone planning on using the KPCN600H1, i would suggest practicing by ripping large amounts of apper and try to get to the point where you can rip the yellow pages in full. By the way, i am very close, i can do about 3/4 of it.

i've heard that term before...used to be true...they have come a long way, especially with their new 350 and 550 series

the answer is pretty simple. they got good manufacture reps in the area to support and market their products, gave us leads from people who contacted them looking for pricing..and offered us price protection, price rotation, co-op program, and many other services.

you mat want to consider thsi camera from Everfocus http://everfocus.com/Products/PDF%20Data%20Sheets/Cameras/Color%20Cameras/ED300/ED300.pdf it is high res, comes with a built in a/i varifocal, BLC, AGC and lots of other nice features. For the price, you just cant beat it.

The cameras they are using at poker tables, are indeed "board cameras" but not pinhole. They are using standard micro lenses. usually with a 3.6mm. The micor lens on the board camera allows alot more light into the board then just a pinhole. Weldex is the manufacture that we have used in the past for the application. Here is a link to the weldex site with the camera i would suggest http://www.weldex.com/index.cgi?m=catalogue;t=1;c=7;i=66 you can PM mr for pricing.

the Lens Mount: CS-mount/C-mount for the wat-902b there are some a/i varifocal full video lenses that would not be that expensive, here is one from CBC AMERICA (Computar) http://www.cbcamerica.com/cctvprod/computar/vari/vari_pdf/HG3Z4512AFCS.pdf 4.5-12.5mm F1.2

here is Panasonic's current line up of fixed cameras http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelList?storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&catGroupId=14458 which one are you referencing?

just had a chance on friday to play with that camera. It is not the easiest camera to work with. First of all, to adjust the varifocal, you need to open the weatherproof housing. Good this i have been working out lately. It took all my might to turn the housing to take it apart and be able to make the adjustments. There are bullet style cameras now that have the controls on the extrerior of the camera, so you never have to open it. It costs a little more, but i believe it is worth it.

PM me if you need pricing on this model

are you talking about panasonic cameras that have SDIII ? which model in particluar?

they now love that camera, and nothing has been able to even come close to it. They have tested others like pelco, ge, vicon and others in the same place, and those couldnt even compare to the Extreme's performance. It has helped TBTA to better prosecute and identify. That was a fun project, especially getting to wear an orange vest and at some points directing traffic, for those cars that were coming too close to us.

Rory, i am impressed with your knowledge of the TBTA utilizing the Extreme EX46CX cameras. That project was actually one of mine. It happened about 5 years ago. The TBTA clsoed off a lane for me and we demonstrated that camera to the TBTA in their own environment. They loved it , they were able to see clearly not only the driver but also the passenger in the vehicle. They have now swapped out all the cameras by the tolls for the Extreme EX46CX. I actually got to were an orange vest that day.

I've looked at AVID, doesnt seem to be as "fully featured" as the Investigator
-
I like the video Investigator software. i have seen it being used when we worked with the NYPD. The NYPD uses the software as well as the Dirstrcit Attorney's office when they need enhancement to the video for prosecution and identification. The watermark remains and is still admissable in court. SpyTown will be getting the software soon and offering the video enhancement services.

I Think the idea of phone numbers listed is only positive. if you think about it, everyone lists web addresses . So if people go to that web site, they will see that phone number anyway. Should you then restict web-site info as well?
