CX25853 compatable Software
ctsk8r replied to Cougar281's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I had an issue with the software crashing and found out Windows Defender was the cause of it. You need to remove it if it is on your system. Hope this helps. Kevin -
I am having issues with the software (version 8.3.1.0) freezing on me daily. Does anyone know of other software that will work with this card?

Error "Wave Out Open Failed"
ctsk8r replied to nclndr's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I have a BL-1408 and can remote view the card over IE with my Acer Aspire One little 8.9 inch screen and my Dell at work. My other 2 PCs in my house will not view it as I get a similar message. I think it says Device Create Failed or something. I assume it is because the video graphics cards are older or that they are AMD machines and the Acer and work machines are Intel CPUs and it is a compatibility issue. Not a big deal for me. I have 2 installled and 8 cameras so far. Other than a Windows Defender issue (I removed it because it conflicts) I am very happy with it's features for the price! If you have other issues contact Heidi (email on their web site) she is very helpful. Tell her I referred you to her. Kevin -
I bought a new IR Camera that gives me a great picture during the day but only a blur at night. It is a 24 IR 15 meter (50 ft) rated camera. I am wondering if the viewing area is too dark and too large. What else can I do? Will moving (lowering) the camera to shrink the area work? I haven't tried it yet as I just installed it last night. Or do I need a different camera?

It is a 3.6 mm lens camera. The area is pitch black. When walking up within 10-15 feet of it it is fine but you need to be up close in the dark. After adjusting it, the area is too big and too dark for it. I tried another in the area with an adjustable 4-9 mm zoom and it performs much better although the range is alot smaller and narrower.

Buy Dvr card 8 channel
ctsk8r replied to ideali's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi, I have found that most of the 'bugs' in the software can be fixed by either the system configuration you are using or by trial and error because the instruction manual is written in broken English / Chinese and doesnt tell you much. For example, my software on my BL-1408 kept crashing. I tried for days to fix it (even emailing Wave-P and to these CCTV forums to no avail) and stumbled upon the Windows event log that mentioned Windows Defender and Encore.exe (which is the name of the DVR software) in the same incident. So I uninstalled Windows Defender and the problem went away. I think for the price the software has many nice features. Mobile view on the cell phone will be next I think. The more people that use these cards the better they will get with instruction manuals and software features and updates. -
Wave P BL-1408 software
ctsk8r replied to ctsk8r's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I uninstalled Windows Defender and it has solved my problem with the software crashing and freezing up. Now the only problem I have is when I put more than 1 camera in 640x480 resolution the software crashes. Any idea what can be causing this??? -

I am thinking that Windows Defender is part of the part of my problem. I removed it. Any known issues with it and the WAPA software? -
Wave P BL-1408 software
ctsk8r replied to ctsk8r's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
OK so I reinstalled back to XP SP2 and downloaded the older version 8.3.0.0 and now every time I load the software I get a message that the DVR software needs to close. I then have to restart the system because I get black screens when I try to reopen and then get the same popup when I restart the machine. Is there anything in the Gigabyte ATI driver software that I can possibly change to fix this? I am thinking that it has to either be the video card driver or the DVR card driver. -
New to the board. I have a Wave Particle BL-1408 and will have 8 cameras running on it at my house. (3 now 5 on order). Remote View using IE. Learning something new every day, and this forum is a great resource! Kevin

I do not see the Wave P (WAPA) software posted here. Has anyone used any other software with their cards?

OK you think there is a bug in the latest version??? The other thing that crashes the program is upping the resolution on the cameras. -
Wave P BL-1408 software

Hi. The system was built for the CCTV system. Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3l mobo, GIGABYTE GV-R465OC-1GI Radeon HD 4650 VIdeo, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz CPU. Wave P told me that sys is fine. -
It sounds like a security setting in IE that is preventing remote view.
