I'm using a Nuuo 2040.....but it seems like alot of people are using pc based programs

Its decent......but this my first attempt installing and playing around with any kind of security cams, software and nvr.....so I'm a total newbie. However it would be nice to get a little better facial recognition from around thirty feet from the cam. My backround is in industrial electronics mostly factory automation CNC with an emphasis on servo and spindle drives. I currently head up all repairs in my companys robotic department. So I have a backround in software and hardware.

Night image is very important...night time is when my jack-ass neighbor comes out.

What domes do you suggest for outdoor night for use around my home? I'm tring to catch a bad neighbor.....

I removed the lense cover and their were spots on the outside of the lense cover. Cleaned the spots and the picture improved greatly. Do outdoor cams require routine maintance, this cam has only been outside for around one week and I'm pretty sure it ws shipped with the spots? Thanks for everyones helpful posts in helping me resolve this issue. Sawbones maybe you can help post an after pic since I still cannot post pics or links....I will PM you thanks for the help....

I've only had this camera for five days and its always had this problem....Maybe fingerprints but I doubt it looks like the reflection of the IR LED's

Sawbone Do you know the settings on you camera? I'm using a 1231 and have a good dusk picture but at night I can see orbs from the LEDs Thanks, Vito

Update for any Nuuo Mini NVR users..... The protocol setting in camera settings was some how changed from TCP to UDP. I changed it back to TCP and problem fixed. Vito

I re-installed software and when I'm in the "NVR Mini Setup Wizard" it comes up with "System does not detect any NVR Mini" What could be causing this Nuuo people??

I had my Nuuo 2040 running for two days with no problems. I then updated software to 2.0 and everything was fine but it seems when I hit the POS tab and was asked to download NVS weball.cab file that is when my problems started and I received live streaming server could not be detected. I need help in getting my Nuuo back on line any help would be greatly appreciated.
