    Casino project

Well there are several companies that you can use on the DVR end. American Dynamics (of course) Indigovision (pretty good) Innotech (only their enterprise edition for gaming, but it is great) GE (not crazy about them) DM (average) On the camera end any quality PTZ with Pelco D, don't look at price but overall quality of the equipment and support.

under car/vehichle 2 camera system help

Ok I do have a question, in relation to the loading/unlading area of the hotel, where is the location of the inspection area? As previously mentioned, if this is going to be at the lobby or loading area of the hotel, this task will be more for the fact of doing something but will have little effectivity as most IED will be detonated upon reaching those areas. This means that for there to be an effective inspection, the inspection needs to be done further from the main building so there will be time for hotel security personnel to review the images and make a determination. IMHO Assuming that the inspection location is away from the building and that security personnel will be able to detect IED's appropriately. What will be needed are some mega pixel cameras (facing directly up) that are compatible with the immervision lens. This lens will allow a full 360 degree view in the undercarriage witn no barrel distortion so that security personnel can actually zoom in after the vehicle has passed and make determinations. Due to the closeness between the ground and the undercarriage of the vehicle a 2 mega pixel camera should suffice. Please see the lens info here: http://www.immervision.com/en/security/ I hope this helps. Also note as previosly mentioned, undercarriage IED's are usually small devices i.e. pipe-bombs and such. For stronger more sufisticated devices the trunk of the vehicle is usually used which wouldn't have anything detectable on the underside of the vehicle. The only way to combat these larger devices be using MP camera to view the driver, with trained personnel who will hopefully detect microexpressions of stress on the drivers face which may warrant further investigation. Counter-terrorism is a very specialized field which is on a constant evolution due to the fact that when security professionals come up with a detection system, then another system is improvised or used. This is why it is imperative that hotel and larger organizations attain consultation from firms strong in this field to design solutions rather than use integrators alone. It is cheaper, but to truly provide a solution their are many variable that need to be looked at and an indepth security assessment is the only way to find out exactly what is needed.

    Baluns and Ground Loop issues

Between the limiting space in some jobs for cable placing to old failed wiring the ground loop issues are plenty. Depending on the application and distance there are several ways to eliminate the problem. For long distances over 1000 feet to 4,500 feet you can use active transmitters and receivers. Though there are plenty try using NTX or other quality ones. For shorter distances there is a unique solution by Innotech Security. They transmit power, video and OSD controls through CAT5 which eliminates ground loop issues along with giving distances from 0-1,000 feet. The solutions are built into their cameras.

Last I will write on my identity which has absolutely nothing to do with this equipment. My name is Alberto Laso (sorry typo previously) the alasl01 was something yahoo recommended years ago and I still use it. My dad was a Jr and so on (as far as the first) and no I am not a MR. Howell. Now going back to the subject at hand which was the equipment. People arguing origin of equipment without even seeing one in person. It is so odd, that some would be so sure of themselves to give something a label without knowing anything about a company or getting one of their products and check it out. It appears that those that are doing this are more concerned with putting down a competitor than actually researching a new company. Next you will say is that Arecont and Lumenera are chinese products? I use these guys mega pixel cameras and speak highly of them too. Are they some chinese knock-off too? Or am I an employee of them? In fact I use these mega pixel cameras with the Innotech Hybrid cause it can handle mega pixel cameras up to a 9 mp resolution. Is it that you are manufacturers more concerned in competition?

It is interesting that those that know nothing about me or my company are accusing me of working for Innotech Security. My Employer/Company: Veranda Technical Consulting, Inc. Feel free to research; www.sunbiz.org Is a woman owned small business, providing security and technical consultation to US DoD and other federal governmental agencies. It is registered in the CCR. What I finde very interesting is that those accusing me of working for them aren't stating where and whom they work for. The reason I state this is again, if there are any parts of these systems that were either Chinese or Taiwanese this equipment could not be sold to these agencies. As per GSA guidelines they inspect all equipment prior to adding to a specific schedule. For those that understand this, these lines have been added to schedule 17 and 84 in varous comapnies GSA schedules. Now as far as Korean and Japanese parts they do have some i.e Sony Chips etc... Nuuo? not a chance its from Tw.

Well, they have a great money back guarantee. They put their money where their mouth is, now you can too. Order their machine if it is not what they state it is, return it for a full refund. They will send demo's at no charge but only to large companies i.e. NAPCO, STANLEY, NISCAYAH which they are working with. If you are at those levels then they most likely will. If not do an outright purchase, its as they say here in the US a risk free trial.

I just wrote on another thread about these guys. I have been in this industry as a consultant since I retired from the US Federal Service a few years ago. I have gone through several "manufacturers" meaning bringing stuf frm abroad and slapping their name on it and calling themselves manufacturers. These guys are different, they actually do their own R&D design some of the equipment from the chip level. I didn't realize the knowledge base these guys had till I spoke to their Chief Engineer and Co-CEO and realized these guys are real manufacturers. Though some of the equipment is just assembly of parts in cost effective ways w/o sacrificing quality, most of their lead technology, their Hybrid and Analog CAT5 Solutions are actually innovative technologies and not the compiling of existing technologies. As such their equipment is US GSA approved which is important to me as I sell to gov't Contractors. These means nothing Chinese or Taiwanese.
  9. As a Security Consultant in the Miami I have been using various products since I departed from my previous government career. In this time I have used various systems, Geovision, Dedicated Micros, Digital Watchdog and various others. Recently a integrator friend introduced me to a relatively new company Innotech Security. Now these guys are not new, the design engineer and Co-CEO's previously ran a large public video surveillance company and formed together to form a true manufacturer. In the last 6 months I have gone from using various products to now exclusively using theirs. Not only because I have had outstanding experience with them but also, as a government consultant I sometimes need specially designed equipment that previously I could not get with any one. You see, most other company's IC Realtime, those I mentioned before and even Mace actually just get their stuff from overseas suppliers and put their names on it. These guys actually design their equipment and build most of it, of course some is assembled overseas just because of cost but for the most part they do everything. Recently I put information in here about their Hybrid DVR and people who have neither heard of them or used their equipment started labeling their machines as from Nuuo or others. Unless you actually have a machine to touch and work with it is impossible to label something and I assure you that though many of us have been in the industry for many years, every now and then a company comes along that actually is totally different that what everyone is used to or expects. All I ask is do not label or say what the equipment is or isn't until you actually contact them and find out for yourself. Lastly, let us all remember that we have all seen equipment look identical on paper yet be totally different. The industry is due for some changes and companies like Innotech, Pixim, Arecont and a few others are the real deal and coming up with new and innovative technologies for the industry. Let's take in the information and gather information and ask questions as to what a company may be up to, as information is power.

This is one of the best I have ever used: 16 Channel Real Time @ D1 and can handle IP Cameras w/ 9Mega Pixel Resolution Built in analytics i.e missing objects, people & vehicle counting and perimeter settings. The Innotech EXDV16HYD www.innotechsecurity.com Best of all is the pricing: $2,800

    baluns

Well that is the best part... These guys gave me amazing prices. I got the high-end 580TVL vandal dome with color@night and autofocus varifocal and they came in about 45% lower than Speco's 520TVL. That is why I went with them... BTW I hope you don't mind I gave their guys you info, cause they can answer your questions better than I ever could.

    baluns

These cameras are; As it was explained to me their system does use all the pairs withing the CAT5 and also solves the ground loop issue and also does the communication/decoding of the OSD data. The chip performs various functions and it is not a balun that is specifically why there is a patent pending. But if you have any other questions just call them, they are great and love to talk about it and their Chief Engineer is a braniac that actually designs all their stuff... Like I said before, I have dealt with a bunch of "manufacturers" (nothing more than bringing stuff from abroad and calling it theirs) these guys are at the PELCO, PANASONIC Manufacturing levels as far as quality, but small enough to be personal still. If you visit them they will show you their assembly areas and their R&D division. I did and they went through the process showing me and explaining everything as my cameras were built. This actual new technology, they will even share their patent pending number so folks can investigate it themselves.
  15. In comparison to Geovision hands down they are much better and the pricing is sooo much better. These guys are dealer direct so they are giving us better pricing than if we had to go through a distributor. As far as how long? When I spoke to their sales people they said I believe 10+ years. They used to be 2 companies (one of which I used to buy from) Securetek, the other one was Microtech... Both got bought by a public company then the two owners got together to form this one... What I really liked about them is that if I need something truly customized whether software or even hardware they actually designed and build these units in their manufacturing center and have engineers doing R&D. I used to use IC Realtime and a few others Geovision, digital watchdog and indigo vision. With IC, help was minimal come to find out they import stuff from all over and slap their name on it. They have a couple of tech and one wanna be head tech (not even engineer) that can only do some minor things. Digital watchdog forget about it, import from China and also slapping theirname on it and lastly indigo, great but just like geo if you want customization you gotta buy the SDK and figure it out. These guys will actually do everything including hardware monds, and their name isn't on anything.. If you like they will put yours label name on the system or box.
