Believe it or not but one o my customers want ver. 8 but with the old GUI How can I change it back, I was able to do it easily on Beta version but can't find where to do it on the proper release. Does anyone have an ideas thanks Az

Yes you will need to get it from your distributor. The software is easy to obtain but whatever machine is the control centre needs to have a special USB Dongle in order for Control Center to work.

i see http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/solution/GV-CCS_keyfeat.htm i should have worded it differently it is called Remote DVR This will give full control of the Remote DVR only with no access to the rest of the computer Check out the above link. it is new from Geovision. released just after Version 8.0

hey guys Are all systems on the same Network. IF so consider Geovision's NEW Control Centre Software instead of cente V2 I have it running and controlling 3 x DVR systems. Has Remote Desktop option and you can change name of cameras as well as many other options. The only thing it lacks is PTZ control. but this can be setup through I/O or with keyboard control.

Hi I have a customer trying to use the Geo remote view software to connect to his Geo machine. The geo machine is running win 2000 and v7.05 I haven't checked as I didn't have a copy of it handy but the remote view s/ware on the 7.05 disc apparently says it is v6.0. (not sure if this has anything to do with the problem) he is unable to log on to the geo machine yet has 2 other machines on XP with older software working fine. is there issues with win 2000? Can anyone help? thanks aarons

How to move viewers to secondary monitor
aarons replied to uglyb0b's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Rory , The link you posted, is this an alternative to remote view? -
A couple of solutions: Check out matrox.com they do a range of multi headed video cards. or You could build an SLI machine with dual output on each VGA card that would give quad display.

G'day I have just recently built 2 identical geo machines for a customer consisting of the following. 1 x GV1480 3 x Hybrid Mpeg 2 cards 1 x Loop through card Motherboard is a Asus p5p800, 1gb ram P4 3.0 etc when all these geo products plugged together I found that I was unable to get all channels to record successfully. I kept getting only 12 out of 16 cameras working, then after adjusting some settings and (as crazy as this sounds) screwing the octi cable a bit tighter which our techo stupidly left loose I found I got 15 channels reording After much frustration I removed the Loop through card. and success, all began to work. Can anyone shed any light on this configuration. . thanks aarons

Hey guys I am having a couple of issues with a geo system that hopefully you can shed some light on. I have 2 x cameras that are located inside shipping containers that are inside a warehouse. Of an evening the container doors are closed so it is pitch black inside. The cameras are not day/night and create like snowy interference like an out of tune TV on the screen once it goes dark. This of course triggers the motion detection and gives us 10hours recording of nothing. I know this sounds like more of a camera issue but is there anything I can do within geo to stop this apart from scheduling it to not record. Also in one of the video folders where each cam has it own folder for recorded data. A folder called "database" has been created it has approx 87gb of data. the file names are like "pos20051012" as well as a few others. No POS solution has ever been setup on this box and i am not sure what it is the other DVR's do not have it and i am considering deleteing it. Any help is appreciated.
-
Yes they are perfect in every other way except when in darkness the "interference" if you can even call it that is not that bad. I can't even be certain that is what is triggering the recording. But what else could it be? thanks

Hi Has anyone ever setup the geovision touchscreen facility I am keen to set it up but without further information i do not particulary want to shell out for a touch screen. Does it give you full functionality? thanks

Geovision 1240 DSP Not Working Properly
aarons replied to Automated Surveillance's topic in Geovision
Although i have had it working in the past the 915intel chipset seems to have given us problems in the past try moving up to a 945 chipset(this will mean DDR2 ram) or back to 865 (this will mean changing the VGA card to AGP) but may solve your problem.
