Outdoor battery powered camera with geofencing
tomcctv replied to ceznov's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. There would be no call for a manufacturer to make this type of camera …… not only that how many times a day do you want to charge the camera ……. Monitoring and geofencing takes a lot of power but why do you need something like this -
Hi your problem is showing the dvr is dead if you connected to hdmi and have no picture then this can be either your resolution is out of range and will show nothing on monitor. vga connection has no resolution settings so you should be getting image on monitor video out …. Also has no settings so should show image on monitor …… so your problem points to no image on any outputs ……. So either bad dvr or wrong or bad dvr power supply

Expert 🤭…….. how ? …. Is the Wi-Fi camera not communicating with the router ? So it can’t connect directly to a monitor……. Even with a Wi-Fi enabled tv you would still need to install software onto tv to view the data so with all that cost in mind is it not cheaper and 100% better for a iP camera and nvr to a monitor without using Wi-Fi crap bristol must have a problem employing cctv engineers

Problems with losing multiple Sites on Hik-Connect
tomcctv replied to Jonnyni's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Hik connect is a server in Ireland in your case. don’t think that your app is direct to recorders because it doesn’t ireland government are pushing hard for a total hik ban ( it already is in government buildings and public space) how many cameras in total are you using ? -

Problems with losing multiple Sites on Hik-Connect
tomcctv replied to Jonnyni's topic in Installation Help and Accessories

Recommended upgrade/replacement NVR for my Lorex LNR380?
tomcctv replied to brewerandrew's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
What state are you in -
Hi for what it would cost you from the mit power multiplexer (power over coax) not the modern power over coax the one you need is 18 years old then there is the recorder …. It’s only cif recording
-
Then don’t go for reolink …….. just google …. Reolink products have a security hole it’s been going on for 3 years …. Why run your own home network into a China server i have not seen a reolink go past two years …. So your budget is just wasting money on crap
-
Hi why replace with a old system Swann are selling it off cheap it’s only 2mp as far as your coax which type do you have installed …. Is it rg59 or a lead kit with red and yellow plugs either end (which is not coax)
-
Hi Wi-Fi is never reliable what is your distance from recorder to each camera also what size power to each camera

Looking for other cctv companies who want to help each other
tomcctv replied to securitynow.us's topic in General Digital Discussion
$2000 monthly subscription……. No wonder you need to spam websites I see you only started 2 years ago with a budget website …… which is odd and then you only buy a 99 cents domain name for 5 years ……. Looks like you don’t expect to be around long -
24 POE camera playback
tomcctv replied to Norr907t's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi what is your budget -
So you have power and internet at both locations while using 12v at camera end (12v what amp ?) what voltage are you getting at dvr end coax ?
-
That would not help …. Your original power supply may have been set to 14v ….. it’s adjustable 12v 0.5 amp can’t work at your distance 140 meters to run a camera ….. it is not possible you don’t seam to be looking at amps as far as your ohm readings …. It’s pointless you will get different readings down to make of cable … how attached this is a 75ohm terminator that you put on one end of coax and then ohm test for 75ohm now for the distance your talking about ….. cat5 with baluns should of been used as far as power supply I would go 24v then knock down to 12 at camera end and another give away is the camera you have at 190meters is poor …… which also should be done in cat5
-
Ok 12v 5amp total 🟰 0.5 amp each this is pushing you power to the limit if not over 12v 0.5amp can not go 140meters (450ft) voltage and current drop but that power supply is adjustable and you can get 14v out of it which is why it worked and it’s not allowing that voltage anymore …. You can try altering the voltage again by turning up the yellow voltage pot indicated we’re it says 12 adj (hole next to it) but you are under powered and you always have been for 140 meters are you in the uk
