tomcctv replied to GuyInJapan's topic in Introductions
Hi both cameras store offsite…. The black face camera is a dahua network camera …. It does not just run on a monitor outside it has to go into a nvr or server the other camera is a PT smart camera that moves and also records video and audio footage is saved on a China server …. Both camera companies are China government owned what did you expect after Japan just signed a security deal with China -

Help with XMEYE Pro app - won't accept password.
tomcctv replied to Kassh00's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi the password the app is asking for is not the same as on recorder it has nothing to do with it it means your recorder has already been registered …… it could be a return to XM and then sold to you Aliexpress is the worst place to buy anything from ….. and in many cases it’s call a postage scam …… if you return YOU will pay for postage to have repaired then YOU pay for postage back it will cost you 100s for a $40 dvr were are you based -

tomcctv replied to Kassh00's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi this is a problem with some DVRs……. P2P registration and password plus email is added to the remote side of the dvr so it sounds like you have bought a secondhand system. Or off a friend and you need the password or email of last owner -
Hi. Ct has a one person consent law but this does not allow eavesdropping …. Which his camera is doing to you 24/7 Maldonado with the nest he can’t switch audio off so you need to read on your laws Connecticut recording law stipulates that at least one party’s consent is required to record an in-person conversation. Failure to comply with this law is regarded as eavesdropping.. as far as video there is no law unless you can prove he does not need the camera in the location he has it …. Purposely recording your private propert https://casetext.com/statute/general-statutes-of-connecticut/title-53a-penal-code/chapter-952-penal-code-offenses/part-xvii-tampering-with-private-communications-eavesdropping-voyeurism-and-unlawful-dissemination-of-intimate-images/section-53a-187-definitions-applicability/analysis?citingPage=1&sort=relevance https://www.security.org/privacy-guide/nest-cam-outdoor/

Hi. The dreaded nest camera … cheap nasty smart cam ….. not a cctv camera yes there is a lot you can do about it as it’s video and audio ….. the pictures you have taken and the middle one is taken from your property then you have the right to ask them to move it away from your property those nest are run by google and the video is saved by google unlike conventional cctv system we’re the owner owns the recordings on site if you don’t get on with next door then it might be best to get a lawyer to send him a letter all video and audio and saved onto google server is a breach of your privacy and you wish it removed you can also look up audio recording in your state on cctv audio recording …. In many states it is illegal nests own privacy statements also tells installer’s to not record into other’s property mill find some more information for you what state are you in

whats a decent DVR for some mixed analogue cameras, as locked out of old DVR
tomcctv replied to cypher007's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Where are you located -
Hi there is more to look at than amount of cameras but your looking at a large protection with a big cost you are investing in. retail parking Apartment complex and future cameras features I see you will benefit from for car park …… licence plate recognition and car colour face detection…. Also people counting while your looking at security for your property what also needs taking into account is members of the public ( food outlets … shopping…. Parking) who may need footage other than for security (the same for apartment complex your building….. car park monitoring and door / gate monitoring your in the position to spred the cost to all your shop renters and apartment renters so home work in choosing your system is important buy once. with having multiple locations calling everything back to a dedicated monitoring room makes sense Exacq Would not be my first choice there license is expensive Eagle eye is a good choice and have used myself but could do with better app it’s a bit like a toy … but there system offer all you need. but my choice would be a Avigilon system they are the best for your type of industry and best worldwide yes expensive but reliable upgradable and everything under one brand

Problems connecting new cameras to DVR wirelessly
tomcctv replied to davidm's topic in Security Cameras
Hi unfortunately with the wireless Floureon systems the cameras are paired at factory and you can not use other manufactures cameras wirelessly you can give them access if you connect to your home router and then call them back to the nvr just like adding an iP camera ….. this is not a wireless option but you can make them wireless by using eithernet over power adapters…. Something like the TP-link https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa717-kit/ -

Hi that is a China app controlled camera you will need to download the app first AppStore or play store look for YCC365 Plus if it has been registered before you will need to reset camera first …… little pin hole next to sd card slot on top of camera the app will take you though setup
-
Hi ok that is the no fuse type (auto reset) I have had problems with them in the past and they do start getting weak over time if you don’t have a lot of power cuts then I surgest removing the red and black wires power connection in the power supply for two cameras ….. switch all back on and then reconnect the two wire in power supply while still on the power supply is just on its limit and when starting 16 cameras at the same time it struggles removing two cameras first gets past this problem were are you located
-
Hi this sounds like you have a power supplier problem for the cameras do you know what size your power supply is
